Job as Senior Scientific Officer & Scientific Officer at Regional Drugs Testing Laboratory, CDSCO | Salary up to 2 lakh month

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for appointment by the Deputation (including short term contract) as per available RR to the post of Senior Scientific Officer, Group A, (Rs.67,700-2,08,700) in the Regional Drugs Testing Laboratory, Guwahati, CDSCO, DGHS, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. The details of the post, eligibility criteria, job requirement, Age limit etc. required for the post are indicated as per available RR attached as Annexure-I. The pay and other terms and conditions of Deputation (including short term contract) will be regulated in accordance with DOPT’s order as amended from time to time.

Post: Senior Scientific Officer (1 post), Scientific Officer (1 post)

Filling up of one post of Senior Scientific Officer Group A Gazetted, Non- Ministerial, in the Pay Level 11 (Rs.67,700 – 2,08,700) of pay matrix of 7th CPC at Regional Drugs Testing Laboratory (RDTL), Guwahati.

Deputation (including short - term contract): 
Officers of the Central Government, State Government, Union territories, autonomous or statutory organisation, public sector undertakings, university or recognised research Institution: 
(a) (i) holding analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or 
(ii) with five years’ service rendered after appointment to the post on a regular basis in level-10 (Rs.56,100-1,77,500/-) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; or 
(iii) with eight years’ service rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in level-8 (Rs.47,600-1,51,100/-) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; 
and
(b) possessing the following educational qualification and experience: 
(i)Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Pharmacology or Bacteriology or Medicine or Microbiology or Biotechnology of a recognised university or institute. 
(ii)Experience: Six years’ experience in Drugs Testing and Standardisation and research.
(iii)Desirable: Doctorate in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Pharmacology or Bacteriology or Medicine or Microbiology or Biotechnology from a recognised university or institute. 

Note 1: The departmental Junior Scientific Officer in level-10 (Rs. 56,100-1,77,500/-) in the pay matrix with four years regular service in the grade having the educational qualification and experiences prescribed for considering appointment on deputation basis is considered along with outsiders. If the departmental candidate is selected for appointment to the post; it shall be treated as having been filled by promotion.
 Note 2: The period of deputation including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organisation or department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed three years. 
Note 3: The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall be not exceeding fifty-six years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.


Filling up of one post of Scientific Officer Group ‘A’ Gazetted, Non-Ministerial, in the Pay Level 10 (Rs. 56,100 – 1,77,500) at Regional Drugs Testing Laboratory (RDTL), Guwahati.

Officers of the Central Government or State Governments or Union territories or University or recognized research institutions or Public Sector Undertakings or autonomous or statutory organization: 
(a) (i) holding analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or 
(ii) with two years service rendered after appointment to the post on a regular basis in level-9 (Rs. 53,100-1,67,800/-) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; or 
(iii) with four years service rendered after appointment to the post on a regular basis in level-8 (Rs. 47,600-1,51,100/-) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; 
and 
(b) possessing the following educational qualification and experience:

List of documents to be sent along with the application:
1. Application in prescribed format-Annexure II duly filled in and signed by the candidate and countersigned with seal by the Cadre/Appointing authority. 
2. Attested copies of APAR/ACRs for the last 05 (five) years duly attested on each page by and officer not below the rank of Under Secretary to the Government of India. 
3. Integrity Certificate.
 4. Vigilance Clearance Certificate. 
5. Statement of major or minor penalties, if any, imposed on the officer during the last 10 years of service. 
6. A certificate to the effect that the particulars furnished by the candidate have been verified and found correct as per service records. 
7. Cadre Clearance Certificate.
