Post : Sr Executive / Manager - R&D Process Excellence
The R&D Process Excellence Team is responsible for
• Improvement of R&D (Baroda, Gurgaon, and Ohm) efficiency and strategic projects implementation
• Life Cycle Management Projects for Sun Pharma across US, EM, IN, & EU markets in Formulation & API. The team works for
* Project Introduction - Opportunity Identification, Evaluation, Plan & Business Case Creation, Presentation to Management for Approval,
* Project Portfolio Management - Monitoring project progress, Resolution/Escalation of critical issues, MIS preparation, Monitoring of market dynamics
* Evaluations of Accruals of the projects
• Special Projects in R&D - Rewards & Recognition Systems (Stars of R&D)
• Harmonization of practices across R&D and plants
• R&D Budgets management with finance
Job Description
The position is for Life Cycle Management Projects. The person will be expected to work on project introduction as well as portfolio management under the supervision of reporting manager.
• Project Introduction - Opportunity Identification
• Identify opportunities for re-launch of projects
• Pre-PIF Evaluation – Involves
* Identification of impacted plants, formulations & markets.
* Understanding the future demand & working out the business case (Co-ordination, Data Collection & Data Analysis)
* Assessment of business value & work involved
* For DF – primarily this involved analytical, regulatory, formulation & procurement
* For API cost reduction - analytical, regulatory & formulation plus evaluation of the suggested change for viability via discussion with procurement, plant, GP&T etc
• Project evaluation, Plan & Business Case Creation, Presentation to Sr. Management for Approval,
• Need to co-ordinate with R&D, SGO, API, SCM, Finance, Market and Procurement for Project Introduction
• Project Portfolio Management - Monitoring project progress, Resolution/Escalation of critical issues, MIS preparation, Monitoring of market dynamics
• Responsible for the success of the project portfolio – both from value & time perspective
• Expected to manage senior & junior stakeholders
• Need to understand & resolve issues and escalate when required
• Be responsible for MIS for monthly updates, shared goals discussion
