Notes for experience:
1. MD/MS/Ph.D. in the relevant subject shall be treated equivalent to three year experience.
2. Postgraduate Diploma in the relevant subjects shall be treated equivalent to two years experience.
3. DM in the relevant subjects shall be treated equivalent to three years additional experience.
Age and Age Relaxation:
• The required age will be calculated as on closing date of the application.• No age relaxation will be allowed to SC/ST/OBC candidate against the unreserved (UR) posts (as per GOI Order No. 36011/1/98(Estt(Res) dated 01.07.1998).
• Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates in age will be provided as per Government Guidelines. The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates.
• The OBC candidates belonging to “Creamy Layer” have to indicate their category as “General”.
• The OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates are required to submit requisite recent certificate (year 2018) in prescribed format of Government of India, from a competent authority.
• Age is relaxable up to 5 years for Government servants and 10 years for persons with disability (PwD) candidates. Format for Govt. servants seeking age relaxation is available on website (rmri.biomedinformri.com).
• One time age relaxation is also allowed to Scientific and Technical Staff working in long term projects in ICMR Institute/Centers provided they meet essential qualifications and experience for the post with a view to provide them opportunity to compete with other candidates as per Council’s letter No.6/1/2007-Admn.II dated 28.03.2011.
General Relaxation Clause: Age, qualification and experience will be relaxable for deserving cases as mentioned in the Recruitment Rules of Health Research Scientists cadre of ICMR dated September, 2012 under Rule 14.
Application procedure:
1. Only online applications will be accepted. Online application form is available at the Institute’s website (www. rmri.biomedinformri.com).
2. The online filling of application will start on 13 Nov. 2018 (10.00 am) and will be closed on 12 Dec. 2018 (5.00 pm).
3. After successful submission of online application, candidates are requested to send print copy of the duly signed system-generated Application form with Demand draft (DD) as application fee, if applicable (as mentioned below), one self attested passport size color photograph (same as the uploaded photograph), and self-attested copies of the certificates in support of date of birth, educational qualifications, experience, reservation (if applicable), age relaxation (if required), testimonials, publications (first page only), research grant, honors & awards, etc. to the office of “The Director, RMRIMS, Agamkuan, Patna 800 007, Bihar, India” through Speed post/ Registered post only. One the top of the covering envelop, name of post applied for should be clearly written. It must reach to the office on or before 24 Dec. 2018 (5.00 pm), otherwise their candidature will not be considered.
4. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwDs/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) should furnish their latest certificates in the prescribed format as per GoI Instruction, failing which their candidature will not be considered.
5. In case of any document/ certificate/ testimonial furnished is in language other than Hindi/ English, transcript of the same in Hindi/ English, duly attested by a Gazetted Officer, must be submitted.
6. Application fee: Candidates, including ICMR employees, have to pay Rs. 500/- (Rs. Five hundred only) through Bank Draft (issued by State Bank of India or any Indian Nationalized bank), in favour of “Director, RMRI” payable at Patna. Any other mode of payment will not be acceptable. Application fee is non-refundable. However, application fee is exempted for SC/ST/PwDs, Women candidates and Indian scientists working abroad.
7. Incomplete applications in respect of the above points/ late application/ application without payment of application fee (as required) will be rejected.
8. Original certificates, testimonials, experience certificates, etc. will be verified at the time of interview.

Selection Procedure:
The applications will be screened and shortlisted by a Screening Committee as per ICMR guidelines. The shortlisted candidates for the post of Scientist-D will be directly called for personal discussion/ interview. But for the post of Scientist-B and Scientist-C, the shortlisted candidates will be called for written examination. Based on the merit list of written examination, only the selective candidates will be called for personal discussion/ interview for the post of Scientist-B and Scientist-C.
The decision of The Director General, ICMR, New Delhi will be final in this regard.
Others:
1. Separate application should be submitted for each post.
2. Education qualification and experience should be from a recognized Board/ University/ Organization/ Institute of repute.
3. Candidates working in Central/State Govt. Departments/ Public Sector Undertakings and Government funded organizations should submit their online applications with prior permission of the employer. In such cases, “No Objection Certificate” from the present employer must be produced at the time of written test (if applicable for the post applied for)/ personal discussion, failing which their candidature will not be considered.
4. Government strives to have a workforce with gender balance, accordingly women candidates are encouraged to apply.
5. Persons with Disability (PwD) candidate are encouraged to apply. Out of 12 posts of Scientist-B, one post will be filled by Persons with Disability (PwD) candidate, if found.

8. Any canvassing by or on behalf of the candidates or to bring political or other outside influence with regard to selection/recruitment shall be treated as disqualification.
9. These posts are with all India transfer liability under the Council.
10. Allowances as per Central Govt. Rules are admissible on the respective Pay Matrix.
11. Benefits of new restructured defined contributory pension system are admissible as per the provision contained in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (ECB & PR Division), Notification No.5/7/2003-ECB & PR dated 22/12/2003 effective from 01/01/2004.
12. Private practice is not allowed. However, non-practicing allowance is admissible to medical graduates only as per rules.
