Job Description
- To provide a error free drug therapy to patients and a hassle free environment for staff in issuing medicines to patients
- Ensure availability of Quality medicines at any given point of time.
- Arrange for the non-available medicine through stores / distributors. If required, request the concerned Doctors / Nurses for sufficient time and keep them informed about the same.
- Inform the referral doctors, if a particular brand requested is not available and if substitutes need to be issued, inform them about the same and get their consent before issuing.
- Maintenance of Narcotic drugs as per drug rules.
- Ensure that the short-expiry medicines are sent to the Stores once a month.
- Ensure that the non-moving stocks of medicines are sent to the Stores once in three months.
- Assign the duties and responsibilities for all the staff.
- Overall maintenance of the Pharmacy
- Organize weekly meetings for the staff to discuss on the feedback from wards/ doctors and other issues, if any.
- Remove recalled drugs for the Pharmacy and send it to Pharmacy stores
- Guide the pharmacists
- Maintenance proper storage conditions for all the drugs.
- Check sales statement, cash returns, discount bills for doctors, cancelled bills etc.
- Counsel the patients as and when required
- Keep the management informed of any customer complaints / feedback received.
