Clearly describe your original idea or hypothesis, any clinical or scientific unmet need the idea was designed to fulfil, your proposed solution and your efforts in physically developing the solution up to an advanced state of translation. You may include pictures of prototypes or other appropriate figures (computer aided solid models, sketches, microscopy images, graphs, charts, screen-shots of software algorithm GUIs or outputs), or any other visual and verifiable proof of your concept development and translation (e.g. posters or links to videos uploaded to YouTube etc.). Please include any results from pre-clinical, clinical or field trials and what the current status of the innovation is (i.e. pending bench-test, field trial, startup formation, business plan development, fund raising, market launch etc). Clearly mention your role in the innovation process (e.g. originator of idea or inventor, lead developer, or part of a team with specific responsibilities for translation). You may also attach published papers or filed patent applications as supporting materials, although these may not be submitted as the primary proof of innovation instead of the essay.
