Walk-in-Interview is scheduled to be held on the date mentioned in the against the positions in the respective column for selection of suitable candidates in the following areas under the different Sponsored/CSIR Networked Projects on purely temporary basis for the duration of the project(s) or till completion of project whichever is earlier :-

Sponsored /Networked Project(s): (i) "Natural Products as Affordable Healthcare Agents (NAPAHA)"[CSC-0130] [up to March,2017]
(ii) "Plant Diversity: Studying adaptation biology and understanding / exploiting medicinally important plants for useful bioactives (SIMPLE)" [BSC-0109] [up to March,2017]
(iii) "Exploration for making plants survive, develop and multiply under dark condition") OLP-0036) (up to Sept.,2015).
(iv) "Technology for Catechins and Theaflavins production from tea leaves" (SSP-0079) [06.07.2015].

Stipend (Per Month) [Consolidated]: Rs.12,000/- P.M. and Rs.14,000/- P.M.

Educational Qualification(s) Essential/Desirable: Essential: M.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ M.Tech. in Biotechnology/ M. Pharm.(Pharmacology)/ Plant Physiology/Environmental Science with 55% marks.

Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST,3 years for aBC and widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands and who are not remarried are allowed age concession up to the age of 35 years,(Up to 40 years for members of SC/STs). No other women are entitled for such relaxation.

The number of positions as advertised may vary depending upon the suitability of candidates and assess needs of the candidates in the relevant projects.

Eligible candidates may appear for "Walk-in-Interview(s)" on the dates, time and place mentioned above alongwith an application on prescribed format which is available on the CSIR-IHBT, website "ihbt.res.in" alongwith, attested photocopies of testimonials of their age, educational qualifications, experience, reserved category, etc. at the time of interview. The positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the duration of the projects. There will be no right implicit or explicit for regular position or any post in CSIR-IHBT, whatsoever. Candidates must also bring with them original certificates of testimonials at the time of the appearing for interview failing which he/she will not be allowed to appear for interview. No TA will be paid for attending the interview.

The Selection Committee(s) may adopt the selection criterion at its own i.e. either by conducting direct interview or written test followed by interview on the same day.

The decision of Director, CSIR-IHBT, Palampur shall be final for engagement of Project Fellow(s) at CSIR-IHBT.
