The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Raebareli (NIPER-R), is an autonomous Institute of National Importance, established by the Department of Pharmaceuticals under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India, through an Act of Parliament. Its mandate is to deliver high-quality education and foster research in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Post : Research Manager In Equivalent grade of Assistant Professor

The Centre of Excellence (CoE) at NIPER-Raebareli is being established at the institute’s permanent campus in Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh. This initiative, supported by a substantial allocation of Rs. 100 crore from the Department of Pharmaceuticals, underscores the Government’s commitment to advancing research and innovation at the institute. The CoE will primarily focus on the development and research of Novel Drug Delivery Systems (NDDS), creating a collaborative platform where academic expertise and cutting-edge research converge to drive innovation in this critical area of pharmaceutical science. NIPER-Raebareli invites applications for the following positions at its Centre of Excellence on a purely contractual basis. These positions are project-based and will be coterminous with the duration of the project.

Consolidated salary : Rs. 1 Lakh per month only

Essential Qualification : Masters in Pharmaceutical Science / Pharmaceutics / Pharmaceutical Technology (Formulations) /Industrial Pharmacy / Analytical Chemistry / with First class or equivalent grade at the preceding degree (B. Pharm/ B.Sc.) with a good academic record throughout.
Experience : At least 08 Years of relevant professional experience in specific projects within the Pharmaceuticals in Production/ R&D/CRO in Novel Drug Delivery System, with a focus on operations and handling specific projects of which at least 04 Years should have been in the Pharm industry specially having experience of innovation from lab to market. Responsibilities include overseeing the daily functioning of the lab, maintaining and calibrating equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, managing procurement and inventory of lab supplies, providing technical support to research or production teams, and having dealt with at least 01 product from lab to commercialization stage. Appointment and Benefits The Research Manager is purely a contractual appointment. Leave will be as per institute norms. The offer would be an initial period of one year and would be extended based on performance and contributions made, up to two years, with a notice period of 01 month by either side.

General Instructions

All these positions are specifically for the Centre of Excellence (CoE) at NIPER-Raebareli and are strictly on a contractual and project basis, with no provisions for transitioning into permanent roles at the institute. The duration of these posts are project based and will conclude upon the project's completion. These roles are contingent on the continued funding and scope of the project, and it will not extend beyond the project's tenure.
3. Candidates should read carefully the requisite minimum essential qualifications, age and eligibility, experience criteria, etc. laid down in the advertisement before applying for the above post. Since all the applications will be screened on the basis of data submitted by the candidate in the online application form (by email), the candidates must satisfy themselves with their suitability for the position to which they are applying. If at any stage during the recruitment and selection process, it is found that candidates have furnished false or wrong information, their candidature will be rejected.

6. On the recommendation of the Screening/Selection Committee, the Competent Authority may relax the experience of the candidates in exceptionally meritorious cases.
7. Fulfilment of qualifications and experience is an essential requirement. The candidate will be called for an interview while progressing ahead in the stage(s) of recruitment/selection, following the standards in general. As stated, the Institute is free to set the benchmark and call only the eligible candidates for the interview. Further, NIPER Raebareli also reserves the right to NOT to fill the post advertised, in the event of exigency so decided.
8. The NIPER Raebareli reserves the right to change (cancel/modify/add) any of the criteria, method of selection and appointment, etc.
9. In case any dispute arises on account of the interpretation of clauses in any version of this Advertisement other than English, the English version available on the NIPER-Raebareli Website shall prevail.
10. Any dispute arising out of this Advertisement including the recruitment process shall be subject to the sole jurisdiction of the Courts situated at Lucknow.
