Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences, Saifai was established in the year 2016 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh after reconstituting the Uttar Pradesh Rural Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Saifai, which was established in the year 2005. The University was established by an Act no.15 of 2016 of the state legislature of Uttar Pradesh as a State University vide notification no. 742(2)/LXXIX-V-1-16-1(ka)-7-2015 dated 17.05.2016 In accordance with the Uttar Pradesh Extraordinary Gazette, 17 May, 2016; the University (Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences) shall be constituted of five faculties namely, Medicine, Dental, Paramedical Sciences, Nursing and Pharmacy. The University is listed in UGC as State University under section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956.
Post : Research Scientist - I, (Scientist-B), Post - 01
Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences, located in Saifai, Etawah, invites applications for one post of Research Scientist-I, (Scientist-B), purely on contractual basis for the project "Establishment of Multi-disciplinary Research Unit (MRUs)" in the State Medical Colleges”, Department of Health Research , Govt of India , for the following posts. Essential Qualifications
MBBS from any institute recognized by MCI or BE / B.Tech degree in Bio Technology;
or
First class Master's Degree in Life Sciences or related subject or equivalent degree from a recognized University;
or
Second Class M.Sc, plus Ph.D degree in Life Sciences or related subject or equivalent from a recognized University.
Desirable Qualifications:-
(a) Doctorate or M. Tech Degree in related science or engineering subject or MD in the related subject from a
recognized university for candidates with first class relevant degree.
(b) Additional Post-doctoral research/teaching experience in relevant subjects in recognized institute(s)
(c) Experience on Molecular biology and Cytogenetics techniques (eg PCR/RT-PCR, Cell culture and Fluorescent Microscope with evidence of published work).
(d) Knowledge of Computer Applications or Business Intelligence tools/Data Management.
(e) Experience of working in similar schemes in Government or any autonomous organization.
Age : Below 40 years, (The decisive date of age calculation for recruitment is 01 Jan 2025)
Salary : Rs 56000/- (Fixed)+ HRA Extra as admissible
Job Requirement :-
To assist in preparation, evaluation, scrutiny and finalization of research projects and coordination of the programme and all other related activities pertaining to the unit. Orientation with laboratory instruments is necessary. Literature search relating to research protocol, compilation of information, preparation/scrutiny of review/monographs etc. and other related work.
Term is initially for one year, purely contract basis. Subject to renewal based on performance evaluation. No claim for regularization.
General information / instructions
The posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The appointments are terminable with one month notice from either side without assigning any reason. The selected candidates will have no claim for regular appointment under government of India or under ICMR or continuation of his/her services in any other project or under state Government or under UPUMS, Saifai, Etawah. Benefits of Provident fund, CCA, Leave Travel Concession etc., Medical claim are not admissible. No TA/DA will be paid for attending interview, joining or termination of the services. Candidates possessing experience in work relating to laboratories research with non- communicable diseases shall be preferred.
Terms & Conditions :
1. The candidate who is in service shall submit 'No Objection Certificate' from the present employer at the time of Interview.
2. Canvassing of any kind will lead to disqualification.
3. The prescribed qualification is minimum and mere possessing the same does not entitle any candidate for
selection.
4. The appointment is full time and private practice of any type is strictly prohibited.
5. He / She is expected to conform to the rules of conduct and discipline as applicable to the institute
employees.
6. The candidate should not have been convicted by any Court of Law.
7. In case any information given or declaration by the candidate is found to be false or if the candidate has willfully suppressed any material information relevant to this appointment, he/she will be liable to be removed from the service and action taken as deemed fit by the appointing authority.
8. The decision of the competent authority regarding selection of candidates will be final and no representation will be entertained in this regard.
