Guru Gobind Singh Medical College with 1000 beds Hospital is a Punjab Government institutionestablished in 1973. The Govt. of Punjab, vide its Notification No.8/02/2005-1HB-III/6308 dated31.10.2006 transferred this college to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot as itsconstituent Medical College. The College is recognized by Medical Council of India vide its Letter No.MCI 34941(UG)2010-PUN/35407 dated 22.10.2010 for 50 MBBS admissions per year.

Qualifications & Experience :-
1. Professor (Health Care Information and AI) - M.Tech/M.Sc. with Ph.D. in Computer Science/ Engineering/ AI/ Biostatistics/Mathematics or equivalent qualification from a recognized University/Institution with 10 years of experience in teaching/ research experience in university/college as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor and/or research experience at equivalent level at the university/National Level Institutions with at least 10 publications in National/International Journals in field of Health Care Informatics & AI.
2. Assistant Professor (Health Care Information and AI) :- M. Tech/M.Sc. in Computer Science/ Engineering/ AI/ Biostatistics//Mathematics or equivalent qualification from a recognized University/Institution
3. Assistant Professor (Biotechnology) :- M.Sc.(Biotechnology/ Pharmaceutical Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Bioinformatics/Life Sciences) or equivalent qualification from a recognized University/Institution.
4. Research Officer (Clinical Trial/Research):- M.Sc. Degree in Clinical Trial & Research, Pharmacology, Biostatistics, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or or equivalent qualification from a recognized University/Institution OR M.Sc. (Clinical Research) with experience in teaching/ research in niversity/college and/or research experience at equivalent level with at least 3 publications in National/International Journals
5. Lecturer (Clinical Psychology): MA (Psychology) with Ph.D. in relevant subject. Work experience five year minimum in the relevant field.
6. Senior Resident (Sports Medicine) : DM/M.Ch for super-specialties and MD/MS for others specialties. In case DM/M.Ch candidates for super-specialties posts are not available, MD/MS from allied specialties will also be eligible.
General terms and conditions :
1. The applicant must enclose demand draft (Non-refundable) in favour of The Registrar, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot payable at Faridkot as under :
Application fee :- General Category- Rs.2360/- (Fee Rs.2000 + GST Rs.360 @ 18 %)
SC Category- Rs.1180/- (Fee Rs.1000 + GST Rs.180 @ 18 %)
2. The University has right to increase or decrease the number of posts at any stage without citing any reason or not to fill any or all the posts.
3. Upper Age limit: Age calculated as on 1st January of 2024.
i) Professor:- The candidate should not be more than 50 years of age in the case of Professor. Relaxation is upper age limit as per Punjab Govt. Rules
ii) Assistant Professor:- The candidate should not be more than 40 years of age in the case of Assistant Professor. Relaxation is upper age limit as per Punjab Govt. Rules
iii) Research Officer and Lecturer: - The candidate should not be more than 37 years of age. Relaxation is upper age limit as per Punjab Govt. Rules
4. The application on prescribed proforma must accompany self attested copies of certificates for proof of date of birth, permanent residence, marks sheet, degree, experience etc. Fees in the shape of Demand Draft must be attached with application form.
5. Applicant must possess the requisite qualification & Experience at the time of walk- in-interview.
6. Candidates already in service must route their application Through Proper Channel.
7. Selection made on the basis of any forged/false documents produced by the candidate, will be terminated at any time and legal/Departmental proceeding will be intimated.
8. The candidate must have knowledge of Punjabi language upto matriculation standard or equivalent and in case he does not, must acquire the same within six month of joining.
Note : Wherever suitable candidate is not available, the terms & conditions may be relaxed on the directions of the Higher Authorities.
