NIVEDI - National Institute Of Veterinary Epidemiology And Disease Informatics, formerly known as Project Directorate of Animal Disease Monitoring and Surevillance (PD_ADMAS),has a long successful history of delivering predicted informatics and solutions for various animal diseases. The institue has been setup under the regulations of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), a Central Government organization under the Department of Research and Education, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India, set up an All India Research Project on Animal Disease Monitoring and Surveillance, (AICRP on ADMAS).
The Director, ICAR-National Institute of Veterinary Epidemiology & Disease Informatics, Ramagondanahalli, Yelahanka, Bengaluru proposed to fill up following temporary positions (Twenty-seven positions) under the following projects detailed below on the basis.
Walk-in Interview to be held on 28.11.2022 for Sl. No. 1 to 10 (15 Positions)
Title of the project : “NCDC-National One Health Programme for Prevention & Control of Zoonotic Diseases.” (Sl No.1)
ARO (Equivalent to SRF) (One position) Sl No.1
Education Qualification required : Master’s degree in Veterinary Science/ Agricultural Science OR Postgraduate in Science (Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry or its equivalent With National Eligibility Tests- CSIR + UGC, NET, including NET lectureship and GATE or through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISC, IISER, etc. and With 2 years of research experience
Desirable Experience : 1) Experience in the handling and maintenance of zoonotic pathogens (microbial culture, isolation)/ samples pathogens (such as Leptospira) 2) Experience/knowledge in Serological (ELISA, Microscopic Agglutination Test, Latex Agglutination Test, Proficiency Test) and molecular techniques (PCR and Real- time PCR) 3) Experience in cloning, expression, and purification of proteins for the development of diagnostics. 4) Proficiency in computer skills (MS office) and data management and analysis.

Research Associate (Two Positions) Sl No.2
Education Qualification required : Ph.D. in relevant subject (Biotechnology/ Microbiology/Biochemistry or its equivalent) OR Master’s degree in the relevant subject (Biotechnology/ Microbiology/Biochemistry or its equivalent) with 4/5 years of Bachelor’s degree having 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average, with at least three years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/ Associateship/ Training/ other engagements as circulated vide F. No. 2-9/2012-HRD dated 25.4.2014 and one research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI)/NAAS rated Journal as per OM SR/S9/Z-09/2018 of DST dated 30.01.2019.
Desirable Experience : 1. Laboratory experience in handling microbial cultures
2. Experience and knowledge in epidemiology, sero-monitoring, surveillance including molecular techniques PCR and serological techniques, etc., for diagnosis of disease
3. Organizing training/meetings/workshops and conducting outreach programmes.

Programme Manager (One Position) Sl No. 4

Conducting and coordinating training/meetings/workshops and outreach programmes and project-related communication. Proficiency in computer skills and experience in disease outbreak investigation/Risk mapping (GIS mapping) preparation and analysis, including program management. Experience in managing and handling projects individually. Preparation of reports, training manuals, Hand Book/Bulletins/leaflets for information dissemination, awareness and IEC creation.

Terms and conditions
1. The above positions are purely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project except Young Professional (I & II). There is no provision for re-employment after termination of project. selected candidate can be discontinued owing to administrative reasons at any time by issue of one-month notice. The selected candidate may also leave the assignment on their own, by giving one-month notice. 2. Above age limit is relaxable to SC/ST/OBC as per Govt. of India Rules.
3. No TA, DA will be paid for attending the interview.
