Technical Officer for the Department of Centre for Stem Cell Research

Technical Officer to be responsible for Flow Cytometry (Core laboratory facilities) at the Centre for Stem Cell Research
(a unit of inStem, Bengaluru, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology).
Qualification: M.Sc. in Life Science.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Mode of Appointment: Project mode. Accommodation not provided.
Experience: Candidates with at least two years of experience in cell sorting, cell analysis and related flow cytometry techniques. In depth knowledge of FACS instrumentation and ability to provide analytical services and collaborate with faculty, students and staff. Perform quality control on reagents for FACS and routine instrument maintenance.Ability to help in experimental design, data interpretation and strategic planning of projects involving flow cytometry from human and mouse samples. Proficiency with software including flow cytometry analysis tools such as Diva, Cellquest-Pro, Modfit and FlowJo in addition to Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience in collecting and maintaining large volumes of data as well as records for services and billing. Provide training (individually and in workshops) and guidance to students, postdocs and other staffs in technical approaches and data interpretation.

Salary scale: Rs.6,045-240-10,845/- + DA and HRA as per rules.
2(b) Graduate Technician Trainee for the Wellcome Research Laboratory
Qualifications: Any graduate with experience in QC / QA and documentation.
Age limit: 30 years.
Stipend: Rs.4,495/- (Consolidated pay).
Job description: To work in the Laboratory. Knowledge of the use of computer is essential.
