Job Description
Summary:
· The Business Model Innovation (BMI) team aims to bring together the brightest minds in business, engineering and Healthcare to work jointly in identifying, creating and building new and scalable business models for Baxter’s Franchises in India
· Apply a structured business model process in a team-based approach to identify unique customer needs and brainstorm and develop new and innovative business models to address these needs, a pilot plan to test new models, and a transition plan to commercial launch activities
· Create ways to evangelize the business model innovation process and methodology throughout the Baxter India organization

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Initiate, plan, implement and manage a portfolio of pilot projects and work to identify creative alternatives and best options for overall progress of the pilot
· Provide ongoing project status updates to key stakeholders within the Country and Global Franchises
· Manage the assigned pilot project(s) in order to meet the project objectives within budget and within the allotted time frame and be able to decisively manage any day to day operational concerns related to the project
· Contribute to development and implementation of an appropriate and effective strategy.
· Set clear objectives and indicators for activities in collaboration with field managers and, where appropriate, with the local communities defined by the scope of the project
· Continuously monitor and supervise activities, evaluating progress through outputs and impacts using both quantitative and qualitative data, and involving the team.
· Ensure accurate and timely reporting of activities.
· Facilitate regular meetings to assist information sharing between project staff.
· Provide coaching and technical supervision to staff.
· Assess the training needs of health staff and ensure that appropriate training is conducted.
· Develop and maintain appropriate, regular, transparent and supportive communication structures with the assigned team and across cross- functional teams internally and externally
· Be able to work with internal/external stakeholders and cross functional team members and demonstrate leadership and managerial capability
· This role reports to Director of Healthcare Innovation, Baxter India

Qualifications:
· Previous experience in product or health system innovation in India
· Excellent team collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders and communicate effectively to all levels of the organization and customers (strong written and verbal skills)
· Strong strategic, creative and analytical skills in order to develop & execute franchise specific pilot and scaling plans, strategies and tactics
· Strong entrepreneurial passion—“scrappy” business builder, creator of new ideas/ organizations/ models
· Ability to plan, manage and execute multiple projects within budget and on schedule
· Experience in interfacing and building credibility with senior levels of the company
· Experience in training / mentoring / coaching staff
· Good numerical, report writing and administration skills; problem solving ability
· Ability to prioritize clearly and oversee multiple tasks; ability to enforce procedures
· Able to cope with basic living conditions in the field and during field trips

Education and/or Experience:
· Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business, Health, Management, Pharmacy, Economics
· MBA or Masters’ degree preferred
· Master degree in Engineering, Business, Health or Management, Pharmacy, Economics preferred
· 5-8 years project management/ product management/ marketing experience in health context (conversant in MS Project)
· Start up, Entrepreneurial business experience would be valuable
· Knowledge and experience of primary health care principles and management
