Job Description
This position is for an enthusiastic analytical research scientist who will be responsible leading analytical research and development activities for NCE (new chemical entity), LCM (life cycle management) and NEB (new established brand) projects. The person hired into this position will work in a matrix environment and in close collaboration with other functional line scientists (chemistry, formulation, API scale up etc) supporting product and process development for APIs and Formulations. Candidate will be responsible for providing analytical support and leadership on multiple projects and the interface with various customers and partner groups across the organization such as regulatory, quality, manufacturing and clinical organizations as well as coordinate the analytical activities outsourced to vendors. Authoring and reviewing various documentations such as specifications, test procedures, method validation plans, protocols, reports, stability data, SOPs, CMC technical sections for regulatory submission etc would be important and integral part of the role.
Qualifications
PhD / M Pharm / MSc in Analytical / Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Instrumentation with 3 - 7 years of experience in Industry
Essential skills / competencies
In depth understanding, knowledge and experience with various modern analytical tools and technologies including separation science (e.g., HPLC, GC, NMR, MS, SFC etc)
Analytical research experience in solving complex problems such as stability, characterization / isolation of impurities etc for APIs and various DP forms including solids and liquids for oral, topical and parenteral administration
Good knowledge and interpretation skills of drug degradation pathways, stress stability designs, and stabilization techniques
Good understanding of quality requirements in analytical support for clinical supplies and manufacturing transfer work
Good understanding of chemistry and formulation processes; basic knowledge on Design of Experimentation (DOEs) and optimization techniques
Experience of authoring regulatory documents for filing to regulatory agencies
Good at interpersonal, leadership and communication skill are essential
OTHER ATTRIBUTES DESIRABLE: Experience of working as part of international teams, working with contract research organizations or Marketing / Commercial colleagues and familiarity of the Animal Health industry would be good.
