SCIENTIST-D
Essential Qualification:-
Post graduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) with five year R&D/teaching experience or Postgraduate diploma in medical subjects with six years R&D/Teaching experience in the required subject from recognized university.
or MBBS degree recognized by MCI or equivalent degree from recognized University with 8 (eight) years R&D/Teaching experience in the relevant subject after MBBS Degree.
or First class Master’s degree in the life sciences from a recognized university with 8 (eight) years R&D/Teaching experience in relevant subject after 1st Class Master’s Degree.
or Second class M.Sc + Ph.D. degree in the life sciences from a recognized University with 8 (eight) years R&D/Teaching experience in the relevant subject after M.Sc + Ph.D.
Desirable Qualification:
i. Doctorate degree in molecular aspects of parasitic disease subject from recognized ii. university with 1st Class Master degree. Preference will be given to candidates
iii. having experience in molecular aspects of Leishmania/Parasitic diseases. ii. Publication in relevant field in high impact factor journals. iii. Knowledge of computer application.
iv. Additional post doctoral research/teaching experience in relevant subject in recognized Institute/University.
Pay Scale : PB-3,Rs. 15600-39100/- + Grade Pay Rs. 7600/-
Job Requirement : To carry out research on Visceral Leishmaniasis with special reference to molecular biology.
Age Limit:- Not exceeding 45 years as on last date of application submission i.e. 10/06/2016. Relax- able up to 5 years for Government Servants and for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates in accordance with the instructions issued by the Department of Personnel and Training from time to time in this regard.
Notes:- (i). MD/MS/Ph.D in the relevant subject shall be treated equivalent to three years experience. (ii). Postgraduate Diploma in medical subjects/ in the relevant subject shall be treated equivalent to two years experience.
SCIENTIST-C
Essential Qualification:-
Post graduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) with one year R&D/teaching experience or Postgraduate diploma in medical subjects with two years R&D/Teaching experience in the required subject from recognized university. or MBBS degree recognized by MCI or equivalent degree from recognized University with 4 (four) years R&D/Teaching experience in the relevant subject after MBBS Degree. or First class Master’s degree in the life sciences from a recognized university with 4 (four) years R&D/Teaching experience in relevant subject after 1st Class Master’s Degree. or Second class M.Sc + Ph.D. degree in the life sciences from a recognized University with 4 (four) years R&D/Teaching experience in the relevant subject after M.Sc + Ph.D.
Desirable Qualification:
i. Ph. D in life sciences (Biochemisty) in any parasitic disease.
ii. Post doctoral research/teaching experience in above mentioned subjects from
recognized Institute (s)/University.
iii. Publication in the relevant subject in high impact factor journals.
iv. Knowledge of computer application.
v. Protein modeling, drug designing, drug development and target indentification.
vi. Studies of immune response, drug resistance, parasite survival in host.
Pay Scale : PB-3, Rs. 15600-39100/- + Grade Pay Rs. 6600/-
Job Requirement : To carry out research on visceral leishmaniasis with special reference to biochemistry to identify new targets molecules against leishmaniasis and develop new therapeutics.

Age Relaxation:- Age may be relaxable upto 5 years for Government servants and for SC/ST/OBC candidates in accordance with the instruction issued by Department of Personnel and Training, Govt. of India from time to time in this regard. However, the prescribed age may be relaxed in exceptional cases for experienced and qualified candidates. One time age relaxation is also allowed to Scientific and Technical Staff working in long term projects in ICMR Institute/Centers for posts advertised under HRSC, 2007 provided they meet essential qualifications and experience for the post with a view to provide them opportunity to compete with other candidates as per Coucil’s letter No. 6/1/2007-Admn.Ii dated 28.03.2011
General Relaxation Clause:- Age, qualification and experience will be relaxable deserving cases as mentioned in the Recruitment Rules of Health Research Scientists Cadre of ICMR, 2007.

(SC/ST and Physically handicapped candidate (PH) are exempted from the application fee. IPO/Bank Draft are payable by all other candidate including ICMR employees. Incomplete/late application or without postal order will not be entertained. Application received after the closing date for whatever reason in liable to be rejected. Application with evidence for proof of age (HSC) certificate, educational qualifications and supporting documents or experiences to be furnished for consideration. Unsigned/Incomplete application or application without supportive evidence asked for, without postal order, application received late shall be summarily rejected.

Benefits of new restructured defined contributory pension system are admissible as per the provision contained in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (ECB & PR Division), Notification No. 5/7/2003-ECB & PR dated 22/12/2003 effective from 01/01/2004. Candidates called for interview will be paid a 1st Class rail fare by the shortest route on production of documents. Application from employees working in Central/State Govt.
