NEIGRIHMS was established by the Government of India in 1987. It has been designed as a Postgraduate Medical Institute in lineage of AIIMS, New Delhi and PGIMER, Chandigarh. It is the First Postgraduate Medical Institute in the North Eastern Region and the Third in the Country established by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
The Department of Microbiology, NEIGRIHMS, Shillong will conduct a “Walk-In-Interview” on 26th May, 2017 in the Seminar Room, Department of Microbiology, NEIGRIHMS from 11:00 am onwards to select qualified person for the post of JRF/SRF purely on contractual basis under the Project entitled, “Identification of key genotypes of Orientia tsutsugamushi in scrub typhus patients in North-East and North India” under funding of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. of India with following details :-

Qualifications
Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science with NET qualification
OR Graduate Degree in Professional Course with NET qualification
OR PG Degree in Professional Course
Age limit : 35 years (Relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/PH as per rules)
Consolidated emolument : Rs. 25,000/- +20% HRA pm.
Duration of the project : 3 years and purely temporary
Details of Terms & Conditions :
1. The crucial date for determination of eligibility with regard to age, educational qualification and experience etc. will be the date the candidates appear for the Walk-In-Interview
2. The above position is purely on contractual basis.
3. The terms and conditions of contract appointment shall be governed by the contractual bond of Agreement agreed upon by the Institute and the employee concerned.
4. Selected candidate will have to undergo medical examination before joining the post.
5. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing the Walk-In-Interview
6. No accommodation will be provided.
7. Candidates reaching after specified timing will not be entertained.
8. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature.
