Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) is an Autonomous Organization under the Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt, of India. ICMR is dealing with biomedical / health research in various areas, in collaboration with national / international agencies, through its Headquarters at New Delhi and 27 Institutes / Centres and a large number of field stations, situated across the country.

No of post : 01 (One) UR
Essential Qualification : Professionals having proven competency and success in their area of specialization, with at least 10 years of post- qualification experience and should possess minimum M.Sc / B.Tech/ BE /MCA / MPH /B.Pharm/BAMS/ BSMS/ MD in AYUSH or equivalent qualifications in relevant subject. 
Note : 1. PhD will be considered as 4 years' experience (irrespective of the duration taken to complete the degree). 2. MPH/M.Tech/ME/ M. Pharm will not be considered as any experience. 
Consolidated Emoluments (per month) : 80,000/- 
Maximum age limit : 45 Years and above

Essential Qualification : Post-graduates in Life Sciences / Sociology/ MPH/Statistics/ Social Work/ Pharmacy/ Nursing/ Dentistry/ Physiotherapy/ equivalent qualifications with at least 55% marks with 01 year of post qualification experience in related field
Consolidated Emoluments (per month) : Rs. 42,000/-  
Maximum age limit : 40 Years (Age relaxation as per rules)

Essential Qualification : Post-graduates in Life Sciences/ Sociology/ MPH/Statistics/ Social Work/ Pharmacy/ Nursing/ Dentistry/ Physiotherapy/ equivalent qualifications with at least 55% marks with 01 year of post qualification experience in related field
Consolidated Emoluments (per month) : Rs. 42,000/-  
Maximum age limit : 40 Years (Age relaxation as per rules)

General Terms and Conditions
1. The number of positions may vary. 
2. The position is meant for a temporary basis. 
3. Initial engagement will be for one year, which is extendable for two more years (one year at a time) subject to the requirement of the services of the Young Professional (YP-II)/Consultant in the organization and satisfactory performance of the candidate after evaluation by an officer of the level of Additional DG/Sr. DDG/Sr. F.A. Thus, the maximum duration of engagement of a YP-II in ICMR is three years (1+1+1) in any case as per the ICMR guidelines No-16/84/2024- Admn./e-171470 dated :26/11/2024. 
4. The rates of emoluments/stipend shown in this advertisement are consolidated. 
5. The cut-off date for the age limit will be as of the last date for submission of applications. 
6. Age relaxation will be as per the guidelines of ICMR. 
7. Reserved category candidates must produce their latest Caste Validity Certificate. OBC candidates must possess a latest valid non-creamy layer certificate. PWD candidates shall produce the latest disability certificate issued by a Medical Board of a Government hospital with not less than 40% disability.


8. Allotment of duties to the successful candidates will be decided by the competent authority at its discretion. 
9. Qualification & experience should be in the relevant discipline/field and from an institution of repute. Experience should have been gained after acquiring the minimum essential qualification. 
10. Mere fulfilling of the essential qualification does not guarantee selection. 
11. Persons already in regular timescale service under any government department/organization are not eligible to apply. 
12. No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview/personal discussion, and candidates have to arrange transport/accommodation themselves. 
13. ICMR reserves the right to consider or reject any application/candidature. 
14. Submission of wrong or false information during the selection process shall disqualify the candidature at any stage. 

15. The persons engaged in Human Resource Positions shall not have any claim on a regular post in ICMR or in any of its Institutes/Centers or in any department of the Government of India. Their project term, with or without breaks, in any or multiple projects, will not confer any right for further assignment, transfer to any other project, or appointment/absorption/regularization of service in the funding agency or in ICMR. Benefits of Provident Fund, Pension Scheme, Leave Travel Concession, Medical claim, Staff Quarters, and other facilities applicable to the regular staff of ICMR are not admissible to the project human resource positions. 
16. A successful candidate will normally be engaged in a Human Resource Position initially for a period of one year or less, depending upon the tenure of the position and functional requirements. Continuation/extension of engagement in the Human Resource Position will depend on the evaluation of performance, tenure of the project, availability of funds, functional requirements, and approval of the Competent Authority. The maximum term of any Human Resource Position in any or multiple projects, with or without breaks, shall be five years only. The concerned Investigator, Division Head, and Head of the host Institute shall be personally responsible and accountable for any continuation/extension granted beyond five years, with or without breaks, without prior concurrence of the Director-General, ICMR. 
17. ICMR reserves the right to terminate the Young Professional/Consultant position even during the agreed contract period or extended contract period without assigning any reason. 18. Leave shall be as per ICMR’s policy for Young Professional/Consultant human resource positions. 
19. ICMR reserves the right to cancel/modify the selection process at any time, at its discretion. 
20. The decision of the Competent Authority will be final and binding. 
21. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.

Candidates are invited to attend a walk-in interview on 10th March 2025 (Monday) at 10:30 AM. The reporting time will be from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, after which candidates will not be admitted for the interview. The interview will be held at the at the NIMS Conference Room, 3rd floor, Indian Council of Medical Research, V. Ramalingaswami Bhawan, Ansari Nagar East, New Delhi - 110029. 

Candidates are advised to arrive on time with filled application form with original documents for verification of the documents and ensure they meet the stipulated date, time, and essential qualifications. Only those fulfilling the required eligibility criteria— pertaining to qualifications, age, experience, etc. and whose original documents are verified by ICMR will be eligible to participate in the interview.
