The following contractual vacancies are to be filled under the Metropolitan Surveillance Unit (MSU) under the control of Health Department Pune Municipal Corporation.
Pharmacist
No of post : 1 Open to all
Essential Qualifications : D.Pharm
Experience required : Minimum 1 years' experience
Age Limit : 18 to 38 years for Open category, 18 to 43 Years for reserved categories.
Suggested Remuneration (maximum per month) : 22,610/-
Senior Public Health Specialist
No of post : 1 open to all
Essential Qualifications : - Either 1 or 2 or 3
1) MBBS recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) with MD (PSM/Community Medicine) / MD (CHA) / MD(Tropical Medicine) recognized by MCI or DNB (Social and Preventive Medicine / Community Medicine);.
2) MBBS recognized by MCI with EIS Training Course Certificate.
3) BDS / BAMS / BHMS / BUMS / BPT / B.Sc. in Life Sciences (Nursing/Biology/Microbiology/ Developmental Biology & Physiology) with - Masters of Public Health (MPH- Epidemiology) /Diploma in Public Health (DPH-Epidemiology) OR
Master in Applied Epidemiology (MAE) from recognized University of India along with two years of experience in Public Health after acquiring mentioned postgraduate qualifications; OR PhD in Clinical Sciences/Medical Sc./Preventive Medicine/Human Physiology/ Pathophysiology /Epidemiology
Experience required : ≥ 10 years of field experience after obtaining essential qualification in implementing Public Health Programmes/ Interventions with a focus on communicable diseases.
Candidate must have passed 100 Marks Marathi Language Examination in his/her SSC and HSC standards.

≥ 3 years experience of working in clinical microbiology laboratory services/ public health program after obtaining the post

Research Assistant
No of post : 02 (SC-01, Open-01)
Essential Qualifications :
Graduate with Master Degree in Public Health (MPH) or Life sciences or Epidemiology or MBA in any Health discipline Experience required:
≥ 2 years of post-qualification work experience
Age Limit : 18 to 38 years for Open category,
- 18 to 43 Years for reserved categories.
Suggested Remuneration (maximum per month) : Rs. 60,000/-
Terms and Conditions :-
1) Interested candidates should download the online form from the website pmc.gov.in. The said form and necessary self-attested documents should be submitted to the 3rd Floor, Main Building, Shivaji Nagar, Health Department, Pune Municipal Corporation, Pune from 28/03/2025 to 16/04/2025 during office hours (excluding government holidays).
Thereafter, the application will be scrutinized and the details regarding the eligibility/ineligibility of the candidates etc. will be published on the Pune Municipal Corporation website pmc.gov.in from time to time.
Details of documents required along with the application:-
I) Passport size photograph,
II) Proof of date of birth (age certificate/10th TC/birth certificate),
III) Photo ID/Residential certificate
IV) Educational qualification certificate :-
a) Final year mark sheet,
b) Registration certificate,
c) MMC registration certificate of additional educational qualification,
d) Registration renewal certificate
e) Experience certificate and other necessary true copies and attested copies in this regard
2) The said posts will be on contractual basis, it will not have any connection with the Pune Municipal Corporation establishment and as per the government decision passed by the General Administration Department, Government of Maharashtra on 25th August 2005, no employee appointed on temporary/temporary basis to the post under the Public Service Commission can claim the right to be made permanent even if he/she has served in that post for any number of years.
3) The total number of posts may change.
4) The said posts are to be filled for a period of only 6 months and the said posts will automatically be terminated as soon as the project is closed.
5) Experience in government, semi-government, local self-government or private internal experience will be considered.
6) If the candidates bring any kind of political pressure, they will be disqualified for appointment.
7) The Hon'ble Municipal Commissioner, Pune Municipal Corporation reserves the right to change or cancel the selection/appointment process at any stage without assigning any reason.
8) Preference will be given to those with experience and higher educational qualifications. But the final decision will be taken by the administration.
9) It will be mandatory for the candidates in the final selection list to work under the Metropolitan Surveillance Unit office. If any pressure is used by the candidate to work in another department, the selection of the said candidate will be cancelled.
10) The selection process for the above posts will be scrutinized according to the number of applications received and a merit list will be prepared and the selection will be made on the basis of merit. The decision of the selection committee will be final.
11) The applicant cannot demand to change the place as per convenience during the contract period.
12) After the completion of the said recruitment process, if a seat becomes vacant due to resignation of an employee in any place in the future, the next candidate in the merit list in the waiting list will be given appointment orders without conducting a fresh recruitment process.
13) The said final list will be valid for the next 1 year after its preparation.
14) If the candidate is selected, he will have to submit an agreement on a bond paper of Rs. 500/-.
15) The candidate will not be given any other type of allowance except the applicable fixed remuneration.
16) The contract is for a specific period of 6 months and the post will be renewed based on the performance of the candidate.
17) In case of unsatisfactory performance of the contractual candidates during the contract period, the appointment of such candidates on contractual basis will be terminated without giving any prior notice.
18) The candidates selected during the contract period will not be given any administrative or financial rights of Pune Municipal Corporation.
19) The address for correspondence should be clear and complete.
20) Candidates must be present at the place of their own choice.
21) If the candidates are found to have furnished false information/certificates/documents or if any information is withheld at any time after the commencement of the selection process or appointment, they will be disqualified. Also, if appointed, their contractual appointment will be terminated without any prior notice.
22) The administration reserves the right to terminate the services of candidates appointed on contractual basis without prior notice.
23) Since the services of candidates working on contract period are temporary, their services will not be considered for seniority or their service will not be given priority for seniority.
24) It should be noted that the Pune Municipal Corporation has not authorized any person or any other organization to sell or accept applications.
25) If a candidate tries to exert pressure at any stage of the recruitment or is found to have adopted improper means or is found to have arranged for liars, he will be disqualified from selection.
26) Candidates are advised to be wary of promises of getting a job through a person pretending to be an intermediary for the Pune Municipal Corporation.
27) If a candidate submits any documents after the prescribed time, those documents will not be considered and his application will be considered ineligible.
28) Candidates must appear for the interview at their own expense.
