Institute of Life Sciences (ILS) was established in the year 1989 as an autonomous institute under the administrative control of Govt. of Odisha. In 2002, it was taken over by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India. The Prime Minister of India Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee dedicated the institute to the nation in July 2003.
Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from eligible Indian Nationals for the appointment of the following positions.
Post : Senior Project Assistant
PI : Dr. Gunjan Mandal
Project Title : ICMR funded project “Developing novel therapeutic antibody formulation against breast
cancer for the Indian population”
Project duration : Three (03) years or the completion of the project as per GoI orders and based on annual performance appraisal.
Number of posts : 02
Upper age limit : 30 years, as on 12.04.2025
Remuneration : Rs. 30,600/- per month (consolidated)
Eligibility criteria : Candidates having M.Sc. or an equivalent qualification in Life Sciences or allied subjects such as Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade point (50% for OBC/ST/SC) are eligible to apply. Candidates with knowledge in Immunology and hands-on experience in cell culture, molecular biology techniques and having experience in handling mice are desirable. Candidates who have qualified national level exam such as NET/GATE/GPAT/BET, etc. will be preferred.
