Applications are invited for the one position of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) for the following time-bound sponsored project as per the details given below.

Educational Qualifications :
First-class postgraduate (M.Sc. / M.Tech) degree in any area of Life Sciences / Chemical Sciences with a good academic record. M.Sc. candidates should have qualified for any National Level Eligibility test such as (NET/GATE etc) for applying for the above position. The candidates should have at least two years of research experience.
Job description : Preference will be given to candidates
The Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) will perform experiments involving production of peptide-major histocompatibility complex (peptide-MHC) in bacterial and/or mammalian expression systems, formulation of p-MHC tetramer, T-cell activation assay both in in-vitro/in-vivo set up, cancer cell culture, animal models for different types of tumors, and synthesis of nanoparticles.
Preference will be given to candidates who have minimum 2 years of experience in the following areas: (i) animal (mice) handling (bleeding, tumor inoculation, different routes of injections) and cell culture (ii) immunological experiments including FACS, ELISA, Bone marrow derived professional APC culture, Co- culture with tumor cells or Bone marrow derived professional APC with T-cells for studying T-cell activation, identifying antigen-specific T-cells expansion using p-MHC tetramer, (iii) transfection, production of lentivirus carrying gene of interest, transduction for generating tumor cell capable of producing tumor surrogate antigen, (iv) protein (peptide-MHC) production both in bacterial and/or mammalian systems and FPLC-based protein purification, in-vitro protein folding from bacteria-produced inclusion bodies (v) nanoparticle synthesis, bioconjugation, and characterization.
Emoluments : The selected candidates will draw consolidated emoluments as per Institute Rules, depending upon qualifications & experience
Rs. 56,000/- per month plus 30% HRA (As per norms of the funding agency)
General Terms & Conditions :
1. The candidates selected for the above posts will be on contract for one year or duration of the project whichever is shorter, at a time.
2. No hostel/ housing facility will be provided.
3. Applicants may clearly mention the category they belong to i.e. SC/ST/OBC/PH and attach documentary proof of the same.
4. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview, if called for.
5. Apart from sending application in the prescribed format given below, candidates should send complete Curriculum Vitae along with the names of three referees. Curriculum Vitae should contain details of the experimental expertise and list of publications. 6. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
