AIIMS Jodhpur is one of the SIX NEW AIIMS established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY) with the aim of correcting regional imbalances in quality tertiary level healthcare in the country and attaining self sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education. PMSSY planned to set up 6 new AIIMS like institutions in under served areas of the country.

Applications in prescribed format are invited from eligible candidates for the following posts on purely temporary basis under ICMR funded project titled “Validating PIWIL mRNAs and their protein signatures as a predictive marker for fertilizing competence of the sperm in assisted reproductive technology- a multicentric cohort study” under Principal Investigator Dr Navdeep Kaur Ghuman, Professor, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, AIIMS Jodhpur, as per details given below

Tenure : Temporary basis (initially for 1 year) Renewable based on satisfactory performance till project duration of 33 months (initially for 1 year and additionally 21 months).
Notice Period : One month
Monthly Salary : 56,000+HRA (11,200) per month
Minimum Essential Qualification : First class in the following Post Graduate Degrees, (MSc – Molecular biology / Genetics / bio-chemistry / zoology / Bio-Medical Sciences / Biotechnology / Microbiology / Life Sciences / Chemistry and B.Tech- Biotechnology), including the integrated PG degrees. Second class in the following Post Graduate Degrees, (MSc – Molecular biology/Genetics/bio-chemistry / zoology / Bio-Medical Sciences / Biotechnology / Microbiology / Life Sciences / Chemistry and B.Tech- Biotechnology) with PhD, including the integrated PG degrees with PhD.
Desirable Qualification for the project : Minimum 1 year of full-time experience in the field of Molecular biology techniques (Ex: PCR, Nucleic acid extraction, ELISA, and protein quantification assays.) Basic computer applications for Data entry and analysis.
Job responsibilities
1. The candidate will be responsible for performing a range of wet-lab based analyses, which include routine semen analysis, sperm DNA Fragmentation Index assessment, Y-chromosome microdeletion testing, RNA extraction, DNA extraction, protein extraction, PCR analysis, and ELISA assays. These tasks will be carried out as part of the broader study objectives, ensuring high standards of accuracy and consistency.
2. In addition to the core wet-lab work, the candidate will be required to perform analyses on study samples for various wet-lab experiments. This may involve flexible working hours, including late nights and holiday work, to accommodate the demands of the research and ensure the timely completion of experiments.
3. The role involves significant collaboration with team members across this multi-centric study. The candidate will be expected to communicate effectively and work collaboratively to achieve the overall objectives of the research project.
4. The candidate will assist with various administrative tasks, including managing project documentation, conducting data entry, analyzing data, and preparing detailed reports. These duties are essential to maintain proper records and contribute to the overall success of the project.
5. A key responsibility of the candidate will be balancing the competing demands from both research development and administrative tasks. The candidate must ensure that all tasks are completed on time, meeting the project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
6. The candidate will contribute to other project-related duties as assigned by the study team. These duties may vary based on the evolving needs of the project and the team’s objectives.
7. Occasional travel and short stays at other study centers will be required for training, method standardization, and quality assurance purposes. The candidate must be flexible and willing to travel as necessary to ensure consistency and quality across study sites.

9. Persons working in the Govt. or Public Sector undertaking should produce “NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE” at the time of Interview.
10. The posts are filed-up on purely temporary basis, co-terminus with the project & the candidate will have NO right to claim for permanent Employment under Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Govt. of India/AIIMS or continuation of his/her services in any other project.
