Applications are invited for the one position of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) (Project) for the following time-bound sponsored project as per the details given below
Name of the project : Project entitled “Recalibration of co- stimulatory signals using nano-scale artificial antigen-presenting cells to promote tumor-specific CD8+ T-cells activation” funded by ICMR. Tenable till – 11/02/2027

Educational Qualifications : 1. Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical): First-class postgraduate (M.Sc./M.Tech) degree in any area of Life Sciences/Chemical Sciences with a good academic record. M.Sc. candidates should have qualified for any National Level Eligibility test such as (NET/GATE etc) for applying for the above position. The candidates should have at least two years of research experience.
Emoluments : Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical): Rs 56000/- consolidated p.m. plus 27% HRA (As per ICMR circular # 16/29/2023-Admn/E. Office No. 157401 dated 01/08/2023)

Job description & Desired Knowledge
The Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) will perform the experiments for producing peptide-major histocompatibility complex (peptide-MHC) and co-stimulatory molecules in bacterial and/or mammalian expression systems. Additionally, the Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) will be involved in the chemical synthesis of nanoparticles, bioconjugation, nanoparticle characterization, and evaluating the performance of nanoparticles using in-vitro/in-vivo T-cells activation assay.
Preference will be given to candidates who have minimum 2 years of experience inat least any three of the following areas:
(i) protein (peptide-MHC) production both in bacterial and/or mammalian systems and FPLC-based protein purification
(ii) in-vitro protein folding from bacteria-produced inclusion bodies
(iii) animal (mice) handling (bleeding, tumor inoculation, different routes of injections) and cell culture
(iv) nanoparticle synthesis, bioconjugation, and characterization.


General Terms & Conditions
1. The candidates selected for the above posts will be on contract for one year or duration of the project whichever is shorter, at a time.
2. Hostel/ housing facility will be provided for female candidates subject to availability.
3. Applicants may clearly mention the category they belong to i.e. SC/ST/OBC/PH and attach documentary proof of the same.
4. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview, if called for.
5. Apart from sending application in the prescribed format given below, candidates should send complete Curriculum Vitae along with the names of three referees. Curriculum Vitae should contain details of the experimental expertise and list of publications.
6. Shortlisted candidates will be intimated by email about the date and time of Interviews. Interviews of shortlisted candidates will be held through online video conferencing tools.
