Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) invites application for position of Research Assistant to work for the ICMR sponsored research project titled “Developing a model for real time analgesia for drug delivery by assessing nociceptive chemical mediators” in the Department of Palliative Medicine and Supportive Care, Kasturba Medical College, Manipal. Selected research assistant will work in a multidisciplinary team to carry out the research project.
Research Assistant
Educational Qualification : M.Sc / M.Pharm / M.Tech (Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Pharmacology / Biomedical Engineering preferred)
Skills Required:
• Molecular biology is preferred
• Passion for research
• Good communication & leadership Skills
• Computer skills
Duties and responsibilities :
• Performing experiments using cell lines.
• Isolation of genomic RNA, DNA and proteins from cultures is preferable.
• Performing Western blot and Immunofluorescence.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
Remuneration : Based on research experience
Duration of Project : Initially for a period of one year, extendable upto three years
