The National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro-Sciences is a premier medical institution in Bengaluru, India. NIMHANS is the apex centre for mental health and neuroscience education in the country. It is an Institute of National Importance operates autonomously under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro-Sciences, Bangalore, an Institute registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960 on the 27th of December, 1974.
Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for filling up of the following post on contract basis for the SERB funded project entitled “Common and Distinct Functional Brain Networks in Evaluation of Brain Behaviour Relationships in Epilepsy, Psychogenic Non-Epileptic Seizure (Pnes), Psychogenic Movement Disorders (PMD) and Depression-A fMRI Study" -under Dr. Raghavendra K, Associate Professor & Principal Investigator

Essential Education Qualification
i. B.E / B.Tech /M.Tech (Medical Electronic/ Biomedical / Biotechnology) / M.Sc in Life Sciences (Genetics / Biochemistry / Zoology / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / neurosciences or related subjects.
ii. Candidates should have qualified any CSIR UGC NET/GATE and other National Level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.,
Desirable Qualification
• Bio signal processing/Biomedical Image processing.
• Data Science and Machine learning experiences.
• Experience in Computer Data Entry.
• Commitment for at least one year.
Eligibility : Must qualify in the written and skill test.
Maximum Age Limit : 30 Years. (Age relaxation will be given for exceptionally meritorious candidates)
Salary : INR i.e. Rs.31,000+24% HRA per month
Duration of the appointment : 36 months.
Initial appointment will be made for Six months, extendable based on the performance of the candidate.
