The ICGEB is an international, nonprofit research organization. Established as a special project of UNIDO, it became fully autonomous in 1994 and now counts over 60 Member States. The International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology provides a scientific and educational environment of the highest standard and conducts innovative research in life sciences for the benefit of developing countries. It strengthens the research capability of its Members through training and funding programmes and advisory services and represents a comprehensive approach to promoting biotechnology internationally.

Post : Research Associate

One Research Associate (RA) position is available in the ICGEB Translational Health Group for a DBT sponsored project "Evolution and transmission of drug-resistance tuberculosis in Agartala, Kohima and Imphal population". Initially, this position is available for the period of six months and based on the performance of the candidate can be further extended.

Educational Qualification :
RA candidates should hold a PhD degree in Biological Sciences / Chemistry / Pharmacy.

Candidates with prior research experience in patient biofluid handling, Mycobacterium tuberculosis culture, genomic data processing, analysis of next generation sequencing (NGS) data sets and experience in any programming language will be preferred.
