Job Description
This is a non-supervisory, professional position primarily responsible for business development especially in the area of biological sciences. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting market research and stakeholder engagement. These activities will have a direct impact on the USP’s influence in this area.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Outreach Activities:
- Responsible for assigned key accounts especially in biological industry. Visit such manufacturers in assigned territory and to provide information on USP products and services (Publications, Reference Standards, and PE Programs) and increase usage of the products.
- To identify Key accounts in the region and Visit them regularly.
- To understand customer needs for reference standards and other products.
- To manage customer queries, ability to interact on technical issues and coordinate with HQ for customer services.
Market Research & Campaigns:
- Conduct market research and translate findings into effective marketing plans.
- Assisting in writing sales and marketing materials including presentations, product flyers.
- Inform the Supervisor on market requirements, changes & intelligence for reference standards & publications
Stakeholder Relations:
- Manage relations with external stakeholders as per the organization requirement.
- Strong communication plan to be devised and implemented.

Minimum Requirements:
Masters in Science with management degree with marketing emphasis
- Minimum 5-7 years in biological sciences/analytical instrumentation/life sciences consumables industry
- Should have worked in Marketing function
- Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to motivate, manage and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to deal with new age marketing tools
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrate business savvy and personal maturity
