Hiring Peptide Organic Chemist (CRO)

Job Description
• Support development of advanced peptide synthesis methods and equipment
• Synthesize and characterize target peptides, perform purification
• Perform Manual Solid Phase synthesis on medium scale, commercial-scale (1 to 10 g, 100 g and 1 kg final product) with minimal or no supervision
• Characterization and identification of compounds using modern analytical methods
• To maintain instruments like Rotary evaporator, MPLC, pH meter, lyophilizer, peptide synthesizer, centrifuge etc. and comply with SHE/regulatory guidelines
• Should be able to troubleshoot the problem at the highest level for both practical and theoretical synthetic issues
• Literature search and collection of MSDS
• Maintenance of documents like patents, literature, analytical reports
• To maintain individual productivity that includes number of reactions, purifications and number of shipments

Key Requirements
• Should be able to characterize, synthesize and purify peptides and troubleshoot them accordingly
• Should be capable of handling a team of 2-3 people
• Fluent in verbal and written English


Candidate Profile
• M.Sc/M.Pharma (Organic Chemistry)
• Minimum 4 Years of experience in Peptide chemistry from CRO Industry
• Adherence to safe practices and procedures
• Contribution to the development of safety protocols and systems
• Promotion of an environment, health, and safety (EHS) mindset
• Completion of mandatory training related to data integrity, health, and safety
• Must have good manual dexterity and demonstrate careful attention to detail
• Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with people in other departments
• Work collaboratively with others and be able to adapt to various work assignments
• Must be able to prioritize and organize work responsibilities in order to meet deadlines
• Must possess a great deal of integrity to maintain confidentiality
• Smart with a “Go-Getter/Entrepreneurial” mind-set
• Good oral and written (English) communication skills
