BRIC-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) is an Institute of the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council, Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. The institute is an integral part of the interdisciplinary NCR Biotech Science Cluster located at Faridabad, and is designed as a dynamic, interactive organization with the mission to conduct innovative translational research and to develop research collaborations across disciplines and professions to translate concepts into products to improve human health.

This recruitment is to fill up the vacancies of BRIC-THSTI under the following projects

Technical Assistant (One post)
Project : Optimized salicylamide derivatives and prodrugs for the treatment of influenza infections
PI : Dr. Sweety Samal Co-PI : Dr. Dinesh Mahajan, Dr. Shailendra Asthana
Monthly consolidated emoluments : Rs 50,000/- (Consolidated)
Age : 35 years
Minimum Qualification and Experience : Post-Graduate degree in any branch of life sciences from a recognized University with atleast three (3) years of post-qualification research experience in the field of biochemical and molecular biology.
Desirable Qualification & Experience : Basic knowledge of biochemical and molecular biology. Preference will be given if have experience in molecular biology, protein expression and purification using protein purification platform, virological and immunological assays, animal handling. He/she will assist in vitro, in vivo and ex - vivo work related to antigen expression, purification or animal immunization or assays related activities.
Project Research Scientist-II (Synthetic Organic Chemist) (One post)
Project : Optimized salicylamide derivatives and prodrugs for the treatment of influenza infections
PI : Dr. Sweety Samal Co-PI : Dr. Dinesh Mahajan, Dr. Shailendra Asthana
Monthly consolidated emoluments : Rs 80,000/-
Age : 40 years
Minimum Qualification and Experience : First Class Post Graduate Degree from a recognized University, including the integrated PG degree in chemical sciences with three (3) years of post-qualification experience in Medicinal chemistry or PhD. OR Second Class Post Graduate Degree from a recognized University, including the integrated PG degree with PhD in chemical science from a recognized University with three (3) years of post-qualification experience in Medicinal Chemistry. Desirable: PhD in chemical science from a recognized University with one (1) year of research experience in synthetic organic chemistry.
Desirable Qualification & Experience : The incumbent is expected to work on synthetic medicinal chemistry projects in a time-bound manner at the center of drug discovery (CDD) at THSTI. He/she will get to work with an interdisciplinary team of chemists and pharmacologists on a drug discovery project. The candidate is expected to have a strong experience and background in synthetic organic and/or medicinal chemistry from a reputed lab or industry.

Project Research Scientist-I (One post)
Project : Establishment of Centre for Advanced Research for Rapid Development of Host-directed broad Antivirals
PI : Dr. Shailendra Asthana
Monthly consolidated emoluments : Rs. 56,000/- +HRA
Age : 35 years
Minimum Qualification and Experience : First Class Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degree in Life Sciences/ Computational Biophysics/ Computational Chemistry or computer-aided drug designing or equivalent from a recognized university with substantial research experience and publications in the relevant field. OR Second Class Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degree with PhD in Life Sciences/Computational Biophysics/ Computational Chemistry or computer-aided drug designing or equivalent from a recognized university with substantial research experience and publications in the relevant field.
Desirable Qualification & Experience :
• Maintenance of computational resources and infrastructure.
• Responsible to support the drug discovery projects:
• Experience in conventional MD, Accelerated molecular dynamics (MD) simulation such as steered MD, Metadynamics and umbrella sampling etc.
• Computational chemistry, Free energy analysis
• Establishment of target specific chemical databases.
• Virtual Screening (docking, pharmacophore modeling)
• Structure- and ligand-based drug design.
• Structural analysis and interaction finger printing
• Understanding of chemistry and biological systems.
• Knowledge of different free energy methods such as MM-GBSA, MM-PBSA and LIE.
• Interact with other field experts in the project to establish the informational pipeline between experimental methodologies and computational-biophysics and -chemistry strategies.

Senior Technical Assistant (One post)
Project : Multi-epitope nanoparticle-based Broadly Protective Betacoronavirus Candidate Vaccine
Monthly consolidated emoluments : Rs. 40,000/-
Age : 35 years
Minimum Qualification and Experience : Master’s degree in Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology/ Computational Science/Pharma or equivalent with one (1) year of post qualification experience in the relevant field.
Desirable Qualification & Experience : The project involves the application of advanced molecular modeling techniques, protein- protein docking, virtual screening, and large scale molecular dynamics simulations. Desirable: Familiarity with Molecular Modeling, Molecular Dynamics Simulation and visualization packages. Coding or scripting experience will be preferable. Should have published four or more. research articles as first author in scopus indexed journals.

General Terms & Conditions
1. This is a short-term position and extension will be granted subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and tenure of the project for which he/she is selected. The person appointed to this position will not have any claim for regularization of his/her employment.
2. All educational, professional and technical qualification should be from a recognized Board/University.
3. The experience requirement specified above shall be the experience acquired after obtaining the minimum educational qualifications specified for the post. The candidates are required to satisfy themselves, before applying /appearing for the selection process, that they possesses the minimum eligibility criteria as laid down in the recruitment advertisement. No query will be entertained with regard to eligibility criteria.
4. Closing date of online application will be the CRUCIAL DATE for determining eligibility with regard to age, essential qualification etc.
5. The age limit, qualification, experience and other requirements may be relaxed at the discretion of the competent authority, in case of candidates who are otherwise suitable. In case candidates are not found suitable for the posts notified, they can be offered lower post / lower emoluments on the recommendation of the Selection Committee.
6. Age and other relaxations for direct recruits and departmental candidates: 1. By five years for candidates belonging to SC/ST communities. 2. By three years for candidates belonging to OBC communities. 3. For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) falling under the following categories : (i) UR - ten years, ii) OBC - 13 years (iii) SC/ST - 15 4. Age is relaxable for Central Government servants up to five years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government, from time-to-time. 5. Institute employees will get the age relaxation to the extent of the service rendered by them as on closing date of advertisement. 6. For Ex-servicemen upto the extent of service rendered in defence forces (Army, Navy & Air force) plus 3 years provided they have put in a minimum of 6 months attested service.
7. In case a large number of applications are received, screening will be done to limit the number of candidates to those possessing higher/relevant qualification and experience.

D) Step 4 : Submission of application form
iii) On successful submission of application, an auto-generated email containing the reference number will be sent to the email address provided. Please keep a note of the reference number for future correspondence.
iv) Candidates are required to keep a printout of the online application form by using the print button on the dashboard for future reference.
v) Candidates must ensure that he / she fulfils all the eligibility criteria as stipulated in the advertisement. If it is found that he / she does not fulfil the stipulated criteria during the recruitment process, the candidature of the candidate will be cancelled. If the same is noticed after the appointment, the candidate will be terminated following due process.
vi) Incomplete applications shall be summarily rejected and no correspondence in this regard shall be entertained.
