Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata is inviting applications for the recruitment of one (01) Project linked person on purely temporary basis to work in the project titled A Comprehensive Genomic and Genetic Characterization of Pancreatic Cancer in Indian Population at the Human Genetics Unit of the Institute, Kolkata
Qualifications : Master degree with consistently good academic record in Biochemistry / Biophysics/ Genetics / Zoology/ Biotechnology.
Job description : To assist Investigator for regular molecular genetics and cell biology experiments, biological specimen and patient history collection from hospitals, maintain of patient database, next generation data analysis for the project.
Pay : Rs 14000/- (Rupees fourteen thousand only) per month (consolidated).
Tenure of appointment : The duration of the appointment is initially till 28 February 2022 from the date of his/her joining the institute which may be extended later/terminated earlier based on performance of the candidate and availability of the required fund.
Age : Should not exceed 35 years as on 01 July 2021 with usual relaxation for SC/ ST/ OBC/ differently abled candidates. Relaxation may be given to extremely experienced and meritorious candidates.

At the time of joining, selected candidates have to produce all relevant documents/testimonials in original for verification and a medical certificate of fitness from the Medical Officer of the Institute. Failing this, the institute will offer the position to the next candidate in the merit list prepared for this purpose. CVs with incomplete information or without supporting documents will be summarily rejected.
