The Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak has been established by an Act of the Parliament of India. It came into existence by the Indira Gandhi National Tribal University Act, 2007 and came into action on July 2008. The jurisdiction of the University extends to the whole country and it is fully funded by the Central Government through the University Grant Commission. The university caters to the tribals’ long cherished dream of higher education.

Qualifications and Experience for Assistant Professor (Pharmacy)
• Essential:
1. A basic degree in pharmacy (B.Pharm).
2. Registration as a pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948, as amended from time to
time, including any succeeding enactments.
3. First Class Master’s Degree in appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy.
• Desirable:
1. Teaching, research industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization.
2. Papers presented at Conferences and / or in refereed journals.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
• The posts are purely on temporary basis and initially for a period of six months (subject to extension based on performance). The selected candidates shall have no claim for regular appointments.
• The date for determining the eligibility of all candidates in every respect shall be the closing date as prescribed in the advertisement for receipt of the applications. In other words, no candidate shall be allowed for interview if he/she does not possess the minimum qualification and experience etc. as on the closing date of the application for a particular post.
• Candidate who is already in service should submit his/her application through proper channel.
• It is the responsibility of the candidate to assess his own eligibility for the post for which he/she is applying in accordance with the prescribed qualification, experience etc. and submit his/her application duly filled-in along with desired information, documents and other supporting materials as per the advertisement. Suppression of factual information, supply of fake documents, providing false or misleading information or any other undesirable action by the candidate shall lead to cancellation of his candidature. In case, it is detected at any point of time in future even after appointment that the candidate was not eligible as per the prescribed qualification, experience etc. which could not be detected at the time of walk-ininterview due to whatever circumstances, his/her appointment shall be liable to termination forthwith as per this clause and also based on his undertaking.
• Remuneration shall be paid a consolidated amount of Rs.25000/- per month.
• The candidate who fulfills the requirements may attend the walk-in interview (the date shall be notified in the website separately; no individual communication shall be made) along with original documents and two sets of self-attested photocopies of certificates and qualifications along with experience, marksheet, birth certificates, caste certificates, two passport size photographs etc. at the venue on scheduled date and time. Applicants appearing with incomplete documents will not be entertained for interview.
• Candidates are advised to visit the University website regularly for updates related to recruitment notifications.
• (a) The University reserves the right to fill or not to fill up the posts advertised for any reasons whatsoever.
(b) The University reserves the right to withdraw the advertisement either partly or wholly at any time without assigning any reason to this effect.
(c) The University reserves the right to increase or decrease the vacancies according to the circumstances.
(e) Canvassing in any form shall disqualify the candidature of the candidate.

The Opening date of online registration is 17.07.2018. The closing date for submission of online application is 08.08.2018 and submission of hardcopy of application along with enclosures is 17.08.2018.
