National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER), Hyderabad (Established in the year 2007) is a prestigious educational institution of national importance under the aegis of Dept, of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India. MS (PHARM) MEDICINAL CHEMISTRY
Assistant Professor

Minimum Educational qualifications / skills/experience required for eligibility: Ph.D with 1st Class or equivalent at the preceding degree (M.S. (Pharm) / M Pharm) in the appropriate branch having Pharma Industrial/ Research experience) with good academic record.
1 year post Ph.D experience at the level of lecturer/ Assistant Professor at PG level / industrial / research / post doc experience.
Candidate should possess good exposure to quantum mechanics, physical organic chemistry, structure and ligand based drug design techniques and proven expertise in any one of the above areas. Job involves teaching Master’s students and guiding students for dissertation work. Preference will be given to the candidate with experience in organic chemistry and molecular modeling. Candidate is expected to work on interdisciplinary areas of Drug Design and Discovery.

Strong background in developing and validation of analytical techniques in pharmaceutical formulations employing modern analytical techniques such as HPLC, LC/MS etc. Familiarity with various regulatory guidelines such as ICH, FDA, GMP etc is essential. Research experience, including guiding at Ph.D level, supported by publication in journals of high impact factor is essential.

1. Director, CSIR-IICT (Mentor Institute for NIPER, Hyderabad) reserves the right to relax any of the criteria for selection, in case candidate is meritorious and experienced.
2. Preference will be given to those who are working as Lecturers/Assistant Professors/ Associate Professors in P.G. Colleges.
3. In case suitable candidates are not available for the positions, the positions will be filled in lower positions i.e. associate Professor / Lecturer with appropriate emoluments.
4. Age is relaxable in respect of SC/ST/OBC as per rules and regulations and in case of exceptionally meritorious and retired professors from Universities/Govt P.G. Colleges and Scientists -G level from scientific institutes (upto 65 years)
5. Mere eligibility will not entitle any candidate for being called for interview, the Institute reserves the right to place reasonable limits on the total number of candidates to be called for interview.
