Post : Senior Manager - Business Development and Portfolio Management for Emerging Markets
Department : Emerging Markets
Job Purpose : To develop a robust portfolio of products for Emerging Markets while identifying growth opportunities in key markets and product segments.
Qualification : B.Pharm / B.Tech and MBA (Finance / Marketing / Pharmaceutical Management)
Experience : 7-10 years of total work experience in a similar role

Key Responsibilities
Business Development and Portfolio Management
• Preparation of product wish list for Emerging Markets.
• Therapy analysis and portfolio analysis for identification of new products ideas.
• Identification of new growth segments, early market entry opportunities.
• Market analysis using secondary data bases (via IQVIA, Export data, Secondary reports) to identify new business opportunities, new approvals and launches.
• Database management of existing portfolio and pipeline.
• Cross pollination of product ideas and product harmonisation across markets based on detailed opportunity evaluation.
• Prepare and evaluate business case for new products.
• Scout for new product opportunities and ready MAs from third parties.
• Conduct partner and product due diligence before introducing a third party product.
• Prepare and issue Dossier Requisition Forms (DRF)for new products.
• Support new market entry evaluation projects.
Project Management
• Proactively track and monitor ongoing development / tech transfer projects (both internal and external) in coordination with concerned stakeholders.
• Conduct regular meetings and discussion with key stakeholders to track project milestones, cost overruns and project costs.
• Evaluation of business case and projects costs.
• Troubleshoot and escalate key issues as and when needed.
Skills Required (Functional & Behavioural)
• Functional : Oral and written English communication, expertise in MS office (Excel / Word / Power Point), working knowledge of generic drug development and registration process, regulatory landscape in major countries, financial modelling and understanding of international business.
• Behavioural : Assertive, learning attitude, result orientation, people management and solution orientation.
