Regional Centre for Biotechnology, is an Institution of national importance established by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, with regional and global partnerships synergizing with the programmes of UNESCO. The primary focus of RCB is to provide world class education, training and conduct innovative research at the interface of multiple disciplines to create high quality human resource in disciplinary and interdisciplinary areas of biotechnology in a globally competitive research milieu.

Title of Project : Mitigating Potato leafroll virus (PLRV) incidence through Genetic and Chemical interventions.
No. of Position : One

Emoluments : Rs. 37000/- + 24% HRA per month
Duration : Till 31-10-2025

Essential Qualifications : M.Sc. in life sciences with NET / DBT-JRF / INSPIRE / GATE or equivalent exam cleared. Minimum 60% marks in Masters or equivalent degree. Hands-on experience in basic molecular biology techniques such as DNA & RNA isolation, protein purification, routine PCRs and cloning is required.
Desirable Qualifications : Prior hands-on experience with plant transformation protocols and generation of transgenic plants.
