Senior Project Assistant [01 Position]
Essential Qualification: B.Sc. (Zoology/Biotechnology/Microbiology/Life Science or equivalent) or B.E./B.Tech. from a recognized University + Three year research experience. OR M.Sc. (Zoology/Biotechnology/Microbiology/Life Science or equivalent) from a recognized University
Desirable : M.Sc. (Zoology/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Life Science or equivalent). Research experience in cell culture, molecular studies and animal handling will be preferred.
Upper Age Limit : 28 years
Monthly Emoluments : Rs. 30,600/- p.m. (Consolidated)
Senior Project Assistant [01 Position]
Essential Qualification : B.Sc. (Chemistry/Organic Chemistry/Natural Products Chemistry) + Three year research experience OR M.Sc. Chemistry/Organic Chemistry/Natural Products Chemistry from a recognized University.
Desirable : M.Sc. Chemistry / Organic Chemistry. Research experience/ knowledge in Organic Synthesis will be preferred.

Important Instructions
1. The positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The engagement shall be initially for a period of 01 YEAR or till the project duration, whichever is earlier. The engagement shall be extendable on yearly basis subject to performance review and project duration. The duration of PC 01 could be extended up to Jan 2028 and PC 02 up to July 2026.
2. The engagement of a project staff in different projects either in the CSIR – Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, Jammu or different Lab./Instt. of CSIR taken together shall not exceed 6 years in any case. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in CSIR-IIIM, Jammu.
3. Age will be reckoned as on the date of the Interview. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates as per GOI/CSIR Instructions. Candidates belonging to these categories should send the certificates in the prescribed format issued by the appropriate authority as per the latest instructions issued on the subject.
4. Age relaxation for Widows, Divorced Women, and Women Judicially separated from Husbands who have not remarried since, as per GOI/ CSIR provisions.
5. The filled-in Google Form should be submitted by or before 06th February 2025 (Thursday) up to 05:00 PM. Google/Application Forms submitted after the scheduled date and time shall not be entertained for the interview and summarily rejected.
6. Only eligible candidates shall be accessed for the interview. The list of eligible candidates and the date for the interview will be displayed on the CSIR-IIIM Website, iiim.res.in, by the evening on 07th February 2025 (Friday). Eligible/shortlisted candidates shall attend the interview through video conferencing on MS Teams.
7. In case a large number of candidates apply, the Screening Committee may re-visit the screening criteria and shortlist the candidates for interview in proportion to the available vacancies.
8. Candidate has the option to interact in English/Hindi before the Selection Committee.
9. In case the final certificates reflect CGPA/SGPA/OGPA Grades, the candidate should convert the same into an equivalent percentage as per the approved formula of the University in the Google Form, and a copy of such conversion must be attached along with the Google form.
10. To avoid any inconvenience, only those candidates who strictly fulfil the eligibility criteria and possess the degrees/mark sheets in the subjects above should apply for the interview.
11. Upon selection/empanelment, the original documents, including eligibility qualification, DOB, caste, and age relaxation certificate, will be verified; if any discrepancy is found, the selection/empanelment shall stand cancelled.
12. Candidates currently engaged in any project at the Institute must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) before applying for any new vacancy. Applications/candidature/selection of such candidates will only be considered if the NOC has been issued by the office.
