Guru Gobind Singh Medical College with 1000 beds Hospital is a Punjab Government institution established in 1973. The Govt. of Punjab, vide its Notification No.8/02/2005-1HB-III/6308 dated31.10.2006 transferred this college to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot as its constituent Medical College. The College is recognized by Medical Council of India vide its Letter No.MCI 34941(UG)2010-PUN/35407 dated 22.10.2010 for 50 MBBS admissions per year.  

Post : Project Scientist (Non-Medical)-II and Project Technical Support III (Clinical Pharmacist)

Walk in Interview is being held for One post of Project Scientist (Non-Medical)-II and one post of Project Technical Support III (Clinical Pharmacist) purely on Temporary/Contract basis under ICMR, New Delhi funded project under department of Pediatrics at Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital, Faridkot on 28th January 2025, 9 AM. Project Technical Support III (Clinical Pharmacist)
These purely temporary posts are a part of the ICMR Funded Project “Comparison of Norepinephrine, Epinephrine andDopamine in the treatment of Neonatal septic shock: A Randomized Controlled Trial.”
Number of Posts : 02
Pay : 30, 520 per month
Upper Age Limit as on 4th March 2024 : 35 years
Duration : Three months initially, followed by periodical extension up to the completion of project based on Performance and availability of Funds


Essential Qualification : Graduate (of minimum three years duration) in pharmacy with three years’ experience in pharmacy OR Post graduate degree in Pharmacy
 
Desirable Qualification : Neonatal and/or Pediatric Nursing experience, Working Knowledge of Data Entry in the computers Experience in drug preparation in clinical research study(s) preferably involving children or neonates 

Nature of Duties : Morning, evening, and night shifts by rotation (duration of shifts may vary depending on the number of working staff) 
• Recruitment of study subjects 
• Obtaining written informed consent Drug preparation in the laminar flow 
• Preparing the equipment for intervention 
• Collection of data 
• Coordination with the clinical care staff to collect research data 
• Any additional work as decided by the Principal Investigator of Project including work of other research staff, as needed. 
If Projects ends early because of any reason : Post would be abolished


One post of Project Scientist (Non- Medical)-II
These purely temporary posts are a part of the ICMR Funded Project “Resuscitation with Umbilical Cord Intact in Term and late preterm neonates (RECORD-IN) Trial”

Pay : 61040 per month
Upper Age Limit as on 4th March 2024 : 35 years Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC as per BFUHS, University Rules
Duration : Three months initially, followed by six monthly extension up to the completion of project based on Performance and availability of Funds

Essential Qualification : First Class Post Graduate degree from a recognized University in subjects listed below OR Second Class Post Graduate with Ph.D. degree from a recognized University in subjects listed below Eligible subjects for educational qualification: 1. MSc Nursing 2. Genetics / Medical Genetics 3. Immunology 4. Molecular biology 5. Biotechnology 6. Pharmacology 7. Biochemistry 8. MDS OR 9. BDS with Three years teaching experience and Total Five years Clinical Experience 10. BSc Nursing with minimum Three years teaching experience. Total Five years’ Experience should be present

Desirable Qualification : Postgraduate diploma or degree in clinical trial management. Experience of working as a research staff in medical research

Nature of Duties : The Project Scientist I (NM) will be responsible for: 
• Providing support to research nurses in recruitment of study subjects and data collection. 
• Ensuring data accuracy and completion 
• Entering data into database, manage and maintain effective record keeping data. 
• Providing support to project office operations performing a variety of standard administrative duties including typing of official documents ensuring high quality and accuracy of work. 
• Keeping track of project with updated reports. 
• Responsible for organizing files, collecting, and managing data to be entered into the computer. 
• Any additional work as decided by Principal Investigator of project including work of other research staff, as needed
• Any additional work as decided by the Principal Investigator of Project including work of other research staff, as needed. 
If Projects ends early because of any reason : Post would be abolished

General Terms and Conditions regarding the Posts 
1. These posts are strictly temporary and the job period will not exceed more than three years as the project duration is three years only. If the project gets terminated before completion due to any reason, the posts will also be terminated. 
2. The initial appointment would be given for Three months, following which there will be performance evaluation of the candidates. Further extension would be given on half yearly basis till maximum of total 36 months duration or the completion of project. The same rules would be followed before giving extension as in First time. 
3. The services of the selected candidates may be terminated by the employer after giving one month notice. The selected candidates can also leave the job after giving one month notice. 4. The salary of Half month of the selected candidates will be deposited as security with the BFUHS for first two months of the appointment. This security money will be forfeited if the selected candidates leave the job after joining without serving one month notice to the undersigned office. 
5. The applicant must pay fee (Non-refundable) to The Registrar, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot payable at Faridkot as under: Application fee:- General Category- Rs. 1770 (Fee Rs. 1500 + GST Rs. 270 @ 18 %) and SC Category- Rs. 885 (Fee Rs. 750 + GST Rs. 135 @ 18 %) 
6. The application on prescribed proforma must accompany self-attested copies of certificates for proof of date of birth, permanent residence, marks sheet, degree, experience etc. 
7. Applicant must possess the requisite qualification & Experience at the time ofinterview.
8. No TA/DA will be paid for the interview. 
9. The competent authority reserves the right to any amendment, cancellation or changes to this recruitment notice as a whole or in part without giving any reason or giving notice.
