Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani (BITS Pilani) is a Deemed to be University established vide Sec.3 of the UGC Act,1956. Applications are invited from interested and motivated candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a time bound research project sponsored by the Science & Engineering Research Board - for a temporary period purely on contractual basis as per the following details.
Project Title : Novel pharmacological interventions against chronic kidney disease using clinicallyapproved Inodilators, ET-1A antagonists, and Bisphosphonates: drug repurposing approach
Funding Agency : SCIENCE & ENGINEERING RESEARCH BOARD (SERB)
Principal Investigator (PI) : Prof. Gaikwad Anil Bhanudas, Department of Pharmacy
Project Tenure : 3 Years
Job Description : The candidate will carry out the proposed work of the project. He/She will validate the in-vitro and in-vivo CKD model and conduct molecular biology experiments and data analysis. Well-versed in animal handling, in-vitro work, molecular biology techniques, and pharmacology work. He/she will also write the research papers in indexed journals, conferences, and patents.
Qualification : First class M.Pharm in Pharmacology / M.S. Pharm in Pharmacology and Toxicology/ Regulatory Toxicology
Desirable : GPAT qualified
Upper Age Limit : Age not exceeding 30 years as of the date of the interview. Age relaxation is allowed up to 5 years for SC/ST/PH/OBC/WOMEN candidates.
Fellowship : 31,000/- (initially first two years) and 35,000 (afterward till the end of the project) per month for GPAT -qualified candidates. 25,000/-(initially first two years) and Rs 28,000 (afterward till the end of the project) per month for non- GPAT qualified candidates
Registration for PhD.: Selected candidates may be permitted to register for the PhD program of BITS Pilani subject to fulfilling the requirements of the PhD qualification process as per the institute norms.
