National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Hajipur is an Institute of National Importance established by an Act of Parliament 2007 under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India. Applications are invited from the eligible and suitable Indian Nationals for the following Teaching post and Research Associate purely on contractual basis
Post : Assistant Professor (Regulatory Toxicology), Research Associate (Rare Disease)
Assistant Professor (Regulatory Toxicology)
No of Post : 01 UR (Contractual for a period of 11 months or till appointment of regular faculty, whichever is earlier)
Emoluments : Rs.60,000/- Consolidated salary
Leave : One day per completed calendar month of service.
Maximum Age : Maximum 40 Years
Qualification and Experience :
Essential: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent grade at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with very good academic record throughout and at least 5 years of Teaching/ Research/ Industrial experience with published works of high quality, well recognized and established reputation of having made conspicuous seminal contribution to knowledge in Pharmaceutical and allied areas.
B. Desirable: The candidate should have demonstrated skills in pharmacology and regulatory toxicology. Candidate expected to have experience in various molecular and histopathological techniques, fluorescent microscopy, small rodent imaging techniques, stem cell biology, regenerative medicine, biosimilar, organoid culture, and biochemical and cell based assay. Expertise in setting up different in vitro and in vivo assays and screening of libraries of new chemicals entities in drug discovery projects. The candidate should have knowledge on various regulatory efficacy and safety studies required for IND submission and biological products. Candidate should have demonstrated adequate experience of independent Research in terms of guidance of Masters’ students, execution and /or recipients of sponsored / EMR projects and with publication in SCI journals.
Research Associate (Rare Disease)
No of Post : 01 UR (Contractual for 01 (One) year, which can be extended further after a thorough review of the candidate’s performance)
Emoluments : Rs.47,000/- + HRA
Leave : One day per completed calendar month of service.
Qualification and Experience :
Minimum Qualification : Ph.D. degree in respective discipline or in the allied areas, with an excellent academic record in his/her career. Candidates who have submitted the thesis and awaiting the award of degree may also apply. *Candidate has to produce a letter from the competent authority stating that thesis has been submitted and the final viva/thesis defense is pending.
Desirable Qualifications : 01. Research Associate (Rare disease): The candidate should have Ph.D. in organic synthesis, especially in asymmetric synthesis and multistep synthesis supported by publications in peer reviewed journals, familiarity with modern characterization techniques including chromatography, spectroscopy (IR, NMR, HRMS etc.). Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in multistep synthesis of complex natural products. Previous experience in industry would be added advantage.
