The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is an autonomous organisation under the Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE), Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India. Formerly known as Imperial Council of Agricultural Research, it was established on 16 July 1929 as a registered society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 in pursuance of the report of the Royal Commission on Agriculture. The ICAR has its headquarters at New Delhi.

Qualification
Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Genetics/ Plant breeding/ Biotechnology/ Plant Molecular Biology/ Botany/ Biochemistry/ Bioinformatics/ Equivalent degree
Desirable Qualification: Experience in applications of SNPs, gene expression assays, high throughput marker data generation, bioinformatics tools in crops
Terms & Conditions
Age limit: Not more than 35 years. Age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC as per ICAR guidelines.
(i) The posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis initially upto 31st March 2018, which may be extended periodically subjected to performance or till the termination of the project.
(ii) The candidate shall not claim regular appointment at this Institute, as the post is co-terminus with the project.
(iii) The interview of eligible candidates will be held on 30-01-2018 at 10.00 A. M. in the office of Head, Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi 110012. Reporting time: 9:30 AM on 30-01-2018.
(iv) The candidates will have to bring a copy of bio-data, original certificates, self attested photocopies of all the required certificates from matriculation onwards and recent passport size photograph. The original degree of Master of Science or provisional is essentially to be brought while attending the interview, failing which candidate will not be allowed to attend the interview. (v) No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
(vi) Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the interview.
