National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health (NIRRH), formerly known as Institute for Research in Reproduction is a premier research institute of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). It is situated in the vicinity of a number of hospitals and research institutes in central Mumbai. Since its inception in 1970, it has been making vigorous efforts to improve the reproductive health of people through research, education and health care services.

Applications are invited for the following vacancies under Non-Institutional ad-hoc project.

Title of Project: Model Rural Health Research Unit (mrhrus) in the State of Maharashtra under the Scheme of “Development of Infrastructure for Promotion of Health Research.

Post: Scientist, Technical assistant

Scientist ‘D’ (Medical)
No.of post: One- UR
Consolidated Salary: Rs. 60000/- p.m.
Essential qualification: Post Graduate degree (MD/MS/DNB with five year R&D/teaching experience or Postgraduate diploma in medical subjects with six years R&D / teaching experience in the medical subjects from recognized university out of which 2 years in a managerial position to handle R&D project in a team effectively in a directing capacity.
OR
MBBS Degree recognized by MCI or equivalent degree from recognized university with 8 years R&D/Teaching experience in the medical subjects out of which 2 years in a managerial position to handle R&D project in a team effectively in a directing capacity after MBBS degree.
Desirable:
1. Additional Post-doctoral research / teaching experience in medical subjects in recognized Institute(s).
2. Knowledge of Computer Applications.
3. Preference will be given to candidates having experience in Public Health / Epidemiology.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years
Duration: Initially for one year

Scientist ‘C’ (Non-Medical)
No.of post: One- UR
Consolidated Salary: Rs. 55000/- p.m.
Essential qualification: First Class Master’s degree in Microbiology / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Life Sciences subjects from a recognized university with 4 years R&D/teaching experience in the above subjects after 1st Class Master Degree.
Or
Second Class M.Sc. + Ph.D. degree in Microbiology / Biochemistry / Biotechnology subjects from a recognized university with 4 years R&D/teaching experience in the relevant subject after M.Sc. + Ph.D.
Desirable:
1. Additional Post-doctoral research / teaching experience in relevant subjects in recognized Institute(s).
2. Knowledge of Computer Applications.
3. Preference will be given to candidates having experience in Reproductive Biology.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 40 years
Duration: Initially for one year

Technical Assistant (Research)
No.of post: One- UR
Consolidated Salary: Rs. 25000/- p.m.
Essential qualification: Graduate in Microbiology / Biochemistry / Biotechnology subjects from a recognized university with DMLT /certificate of one year duration or one year experience lower scale.
Desirable:
1. Two year’s experience in research lab.
2. Knowledge of computer application.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years
Duration: Initially for one year
