The Kamdhenu University is the principle agency for research activities to be carried out in Veterinary, Animal Husbandry, Dairy, Fisheries and Allied Sciences throughout the State of Gujarat. Kamdhenu University emphasizes in prioritizing and undertaking R&D programmes especially in indigenous cattle enhancing production / productivity / profitability / sustainability of livestock production systems in order to provide livelihood and nutritional securities to the increasing human population. Research is the hub to convert ideas into hypothesis, develop protocols into techniques. Eventually these enormous efforts and brainstorming gets converted into technology and revolution. Kamdhenu University research efforts are getting translated under field conditions.
Post : Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
The following post is to be filled up for the project entitled “Augmenting Reproductive Efficiency of Dairy Animals through Selected Ethnobotanical Preparations & Biotechnology Interventions (with revised title: “Natural Farming vs Conventional farming: Understanding the Translational Dynamics of Microbiome, Drug and Pesticide residues in Animal Products”) under Network Research Program on Bharatiya Prakritik Krishi Paddhati (Natural Farming) through Biotechnology Interventions (B.H. 0602029) sponsored by GSBTM, Gov. of Gujarat at the College of Veterinary Science & A.H., KU, Rajpur (Nava), Himmatnagar. The project period is from 2023 to 2025.
Educational Qualification :
A. Post Graduate from any one among following branch with NET qualification.
(1) Veterinary science (Any discipline)
(2) Agriculture
(3) Zoology/ Pharmacy/ Industrial Biotechnology/ Biotechnology / Chemistry / any relevant subject of life sciences
(4) Fisheries science and Marine science or relevant
OR
B. Post Graduate in above field without NET
Note : Experience of working in the similar project is desirable for the candidates holding other than B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree
Fellowship Amount (Rs.) : For Junior Research Fellow having desired qualification as per DST, GOI, mentioned in point No. A, fellowships will be Rs. 31,000/- + HRA OR For Junior Research Fellow without NET as mentioned in point No. B, the fellowship will be Rs. 23,213/- (Not be entitled for HRA)
Age limit : Maximum 40 Years for Male & 45 Years for Female
The appointment will be purely on the contractual basis and hence, will not provide any employment after completion of the research scheme. The services of fellow will be terminated without any notice at any time by the University. The eligible candidates are requested to appear in walk in interview with all the documents and a set of self-attested photocopies at College of Veterinary Science & A.H., Kamdhenu University, Rajpur (Nava), Himmatnagar-383010 on 10/02/2025. If the numbers of candidates are more, written test will be conducted. Kindly, note that no TA / DA or any expenses will be given for attending the said interview.
