Educational Qualifications : M.Sc in Chemistry or Organic Chemistry or M.Pharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Candidates having two years of research experience will be considered for SRF position. The candidate should have qualified for any National Level Examination.
Desirable Qualifications : Knowledge of organic reactions, mechanisms, and theoretical concepts in spectroscopy. Hands-on experience in gram-scale organic synthesis, protection-deprotection methodologies, purification through column chromatography, interpretation of nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR), both 1D and 2D, and mass spectrometry. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply and will be considered for a JRF position.
Emoluments : The selected candidates will draw consolidated emoluments as per Institute Rules, depending upon qualifications & experience :
Senior Research Fellow (Project) : Rs. 42,000/- per month plus 27% HRA
Junior Research Fellow (Project) : Rs. 37,000/- per month plus 27% HRA

Job description : To design and synthesize small molecules based on carbohydrates, amino acids, non-canonical analogues, and their prodrug candidates – in multi-step and multi-gram scale – using regio-selective protection/de-protection methodologies, purification by column chromatography, characterization using NMR and Mass Spectrometry. To work in a team of inter-disciplinary colleagues in chemical biology research.
General Terms & Conditions
1. The candidates selected for the above posts will be on contract for one year or duration of the project whichever is shorter, at a time.
2. No hostel/ housing facility will be provided.
3. Applicants may clearly mention the category they belong to i.e. UR/SC/ST/OBC/PH and attach documentary proof of the same.
4. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview, if called for.
5. Apart from sending application in the prescribed format given below, candidates should send complete Curriculum Vitae along with the names of three referees. Curriculum Vitae should contain details of the experimental expertise and list of publications.
