The Institute for Stem Cell Science & Regenerative Medicine, Bangalore is an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. iBRIC-inStem’s mandate is to establish collaborative research programs in the field of stem cell biology, regeneration, and repair in development and disease, with an emphasis on translation. To develop strengths in focused areas, research at iBRIC-inStem is driven through collaborative interdisciplinary teams, addressing questions that are beyond the scope of a single laboratory.
Post : Project Associate-I
iBRIC-inStem invites applications (online) from eligible candidates for contractual position of Project Associate-I in the Sudarshan lab at iBRIC-inStem. We are looking for dedicated professionals who are result-oriented, can assimilate, analyze and communicate data effectively and are excellent team players capable of working in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
Salary : Rs. 37,000/- + 27% HRA (With Net qualification) Rs. 25,000/- + 27% HRA (Non Net qualified)
Age Limit : 35 years
Essential Qualification : Master’s degree preferably in Biochemistry or Molecular Biology, or a B.Tech degree in fields related to life sciences from a recognized university or institute. It is advantageous if the candidate has cleared GATE, NET or an equivalent exam.
Job Description : Candidates with strong background in protein biochemistry, molecular biology (cloning, DNA/RNA isolation) and cell biology are encouraged to apply. Previous experience with cell culture - either cell lines or stem cells, cell transfection and gene editing will be an asset but not essential. Candidates are expected to have the ability to work independently, have good organizational skills, work in an interdisciplinary team, and manage multiple tasks. They will also be responsible for data documentation, validation and compilation, for preparation of manuscripts.
Tenure : Contractual appointment for 11 Eleven months, renewable based on requirement and review of progress and requirement of the Grant.

9. The incumbent will be required to conform to the rules and regulations of iBRIC-inStem in force from time to time and follow the discipline rules of the institute failing which the contract may be withdrawn at any point in time.
