Vacancy for post of Deputy Director at Central Drugs Testing Laboratory

Ministry of Health and Family Welfare invites application from eligible candidates for filling up the post mentioned below at Central Drugs Testing Laboratory, Mumbai by deputation (including short term contract). Applications are invited from eligible candidates for appointment by Deputation (including short term contract as per RRs to the post of Deputy Director, Group A, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial, Pay Level-12 (Rs.78800 - 209200) in the Central Drugs Testing Laboratory, Mumbai, CDSCO, DGHS, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. The details of the post, eligibility criteria, job requirement, Age limit etc. required for the post are indicated as per available RR attached as Annexure-I. The pay and other terms and conditions of Deputation (including short term contract) will be regulated in accordance with DOPT's order as amended from time to time.

Pay as per 7th CPC : Pay Level-12 of 7th CPC (Rs.78,800/- - 2,09,200/-)

Eligibility Criteria
Deputation (including short term contract):
Officers of the Central Government or State Governments or Union Territory Administrations or autonomous body or statutory organisation or public sector undertakings or recognised University or recognised institutions:
(a) (i) holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or
(ii) with five years' service rendered after appointment to the post on a regular basis in level-11 in the pay matrix (Rs.67700-208700) or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; and
(b) possessing the essential or desirable educational qualification and experience prescribed as under,-

Essential:
Masters degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Pharmacology or Bacteriology or Medicine or Microbiology or Biotechnology from a recognised University or institute.

Experience:
Eight years experience in drugs testing and standardization and research.

Desirable :
Doctorate in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Pharmacology or Bacteriology or Medicine or Microbiology or Biotechnology from a recognised University or institute.

Note 1.- The period of deputation (including short-term contract) including the period of deputation (including short-term contract) in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organisation or department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed four years.
Note 2.- The maximum age-limit for appointment by deputation shall (including short-term contract) be not exceeding fifty-six years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
