Defence Institute of Bio-defence Technologies (DIBT) under the aegis of Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Govt of India is having the charter of duties to develop detection technologies for food borne pathogens and toxins of Biodefence importance as well as R&D on Military Nutrition. DIBT invites applications from young, talented, and motivated Indian nationals with requisite qualifications, who desire to pursue Defence-related research as Junior Research Fellows.

Essential Educational Qualifications:
Post graduate Degree in First Division from recognized University / Institute with valid NET /GATE 
OR 
Post Graduate Degree in professional course (M.Tech) in First Division


General Conditions
1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) will be paid Rs.37,000/- per month with HRA as stipend. The award of JRF will be as per DRDO & other National Agency's Research Fellowship rules. The offer of Fellowship does not confer on Fellows any right for absorption in DRDO. Admission shall not be claimed by any candidates as a matter of right.
2. The tenure of the fellowship will be initially for a period of two years and based on performance, it may be extended for 3rd and 4th year if required.
3. Only candidates possessing the above-mentioned qualification(s) from recognized University / Institute may apply.
4. Age not exceeding 28 years for JRF as on the date of interview. Age relaxation is allowed up to 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates.
5. Candidates must present original certificates and testimonials at the time of interview. Additionally, candidates should bring a photocopy set of all documents along with the application form and a valid Government-issued ID card (such as Aadhaar, Passport or Driving License) during the interview.

6. Candidates presently employed in Government Department/ PSU's/ Autonomous Bodies should send their application through proper channel and are required to produce NOC from their employer at the time of interview.
7. A written test consisting of Objective type Multiple Choice Questions will be conducted to shortlist the candidates for interview, if necessary
8. Based on the performance of candidates in the interview, a panel of selected candidates will be prepared for the available vacancies and future anticipated vacancies. The panel would operate for a period of one year from the date of interview. Decision of Center Head, DIBT, Mysore will finalize in case of any discrepancy.
9. NO TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending interview or for joining, if selected.
10. Candidates need to produce their suitable documents for proof of Caste, Age, Education Qualification/NET/GATE and NOC (wherever applicable) along with Passport size photograph, failing which, the application will be rejected.


11. Application form appended in this advertisement may be typed and submitted along with copies of testimonials/documents to the Centre Head, Defence Institute of Bio¬Defence Technologies (DIBT), Siddhartha Nagar, Mysuru-570011 through Speed post only. Applications sent through courier will not be received and accepted. The envelope containing the applications may be super scribed as recruitment of Junior Research Fellows.
12. Candidate will have to mention the Position and Subject for which he/she appears/applied
13. Antecedent of selected candidates will be verified at the time of joining, if selected.
14. Admission shall not be claimed by any candidate as a matter of right. The admission shall be entirely at the discretion of the Selection Committee of the office which may refuse to admit any candidate without assigning any reason thereof. Number of seats for JRF may increase or decrease without prior notice.
15. Short-listed candidates shall be called for written test/interview at Defence Institute of Bio-Defence Technologies, Mysuru. Information will be sent through e-mail/speed post to the shortlisted candidates
16. Candidates may bring Project Report/Technical Work demo in support of their candidature.
17. The last date to receive the application is 30 days from the date of advertisement.
18. Canvassing/influence shall not be allowed & leads to disqualification.
