CSIR - Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad is a Premier Research Laboratory under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research , which is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. CSIR-IICT is a multi-disciplinary Institute with proven strengths in Organic Chemistry (drugs, agro chemicals and industrial organics), Inorganic and Physical Chemistry including Catalysis, Lipid Science & Technology, Organic Coatings & Polymers, Chemical Biology, Chemical Engineering and Design Engineering.
CSIR – IICT is conducting Walk-in-Interview for the following positions under various sponsored projects purely on temporary basis.
Senior Project Associate
Name of the Project : IICT-RMIT Collaborative Project
Essential Qualifications : MSc Organic Chemistry with 4 years research experience in Organic Synthesis
Emoluments : Rs. 42,000 + HRA
Upper age limit as on last date of receipt of application : 40 years
Senior Project Associate
Name of the Project : Cost effective technology for making Delignified Rice Straws (DRS) with improved digestion for cattle feed applications (FTT)
Essential Qualifications : M.Tech in Chemical Engg with 2 years exp in R&D in Industrial & Academic Institutions or S&T Organizations & Scientific Activities Services
Desirable Qualification : i. Experience in valorization of biomass, modeling, simulation & optimization of chemical/ biochemical processes.
ii. SCI publication with first author

Project Associate II
Name of the Project : Safety Management
Essential Qualifications : B.Tech in Chemical / Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / Safety / Fire Engineering with 2 years experience in Industry/ Research Laboratories / Construction/ Academic Institutions etc
Desirable Qualification : Preference will be given to experience in Safety Department but not compulsory
ii. SCI publication with first author

Project Associate I
Name of the Project : Evaluation of an Unani formulation for improving mental retardation & exploring of underlying molecular mechanisms using animal model
Essential Qualifications : Masters degree in any stream of Life Sciences
Desirable Qualification : Research experience with animal models, NET or GATE qualification
Emoluments : Rs. 31,000+HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility tests CSIR-UGC- NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examination conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and institutions ii) and Rs. 25,000+HRA for others who don’t qualify (i) above

Project Associate I
Name of the Project : PAN CSIR-Cancer research program focusing on breast & gynecological cancers of Indian relevance
Essential Qualifications : MSc/B.Tech in Biological Sciences (Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology) or M.Pharm in Pharmacology
Desirable Qualification : M.Tech in Biological Sciences (Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology) and Hands on research experience in Cell Biology handling cell lines or Molecular Biology including cloning, protein expression, protein purification, protein folding etc. is highly desirable preferable
Emoluments : Rs. 25,000+HRA

Project Associate I
Name of the Project : Basic engineering design calculation of DoTP project report
Essential Qualifications : B.Tech in Chemical Engg

Upper age limit shall be reckoned as on the last date of receipt of applications.
Experience shall be counted after obtaining the minimum prescribed qualification.
Candidates possessing essential qualification in the required area/discipline only should apply, others are not eligible. Result awaited candidates are not eligible.
Note
1. The above age limits are relaxable for candidates of statutory groups (SC/ST/OBC) and PWD candidates as per Govt. of India/ CSIR instructions on the subject.
2. The candidates who have already served CSIR-IICT or any other lab/institute of CSIR as any Project Assistant / Project Fellow / JRF (in contract R&D projects) / SRF (in contract R&D projects) / Research Associate etc., for a total period of 5 years or more are not eligible for these engagements. The candidates who have served for a period less than 5 years will have tenure up to remaining period till completion of 5 years.
3. CSIR-IICT reserves the right to cancel or withdraw the award in case of any discrepancy found, in the candidature of any selected candidate at any stage.
4. The selection will be on the basis of interview.
5. CSIR-IICT reserves the right not to fill up a particular position, if it so desires. The number of vacancies indicated above may vary at the time of actual selection.
6. The period of experience in a discipline / area of work, wherever prescribed, shall be counted after the date of acquiring the minimum prescribed educational qualifications for that position.
7. The engagement will be purely on temporary basis initially for a period of six months which may be extended or curtailed depending on the duration of the sponsored project / satisfactory performance or conduct of the fellow as the case may be and does not entitle him/her for any permanent position in CSIR/IICT.
8. No TA/DA will be paid for the interview.
Candidates who fulfill the under-mentioned criteria of age, educational qualifications, experience etc., may appear for walk-in-interview with the duly filled application form (download the application form from CSIR-IICT Website) along with one set of attested relevant documents (certificates of all educational qualifications from matric/10th onwards, Experience, DOB, latest Category/Caste Certificate etc) and appear for walk in interview. Candidates are required to bring all the original certificates for verification. Candidates should register their names for walk-in-interview between 09.30 AM to 10.30 AM on 24.02.2023.
