Vacancy for Project Assistant, Project Associate at CIMAP

CSIR-Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Lucknow, a unit of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), is a premier scientific organization involved in conducting high quality research in different areas of biological and chemical sciences and extending technologies and services to the farmers and entrepreneurs using medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs).

Eligible and interested candidates may attend the Walk-in-Interview on the respective date as detailed below for purely temporary engagement as Project Associate-I/II and Project Assistant under AROMA MISSION Project at CSIR-CIMAP, Research Centre, Pantnagar and CSIR-CIMAP, Research Centre, Purara, respectively. The eligibility criterion is as follows.

Project Assistant (Agricultural Sciences/ Biological Sciences: 01 Nos.)
Qualification: B.Sc. in any branch of Agricultural Sciences/ Biological Sciences (Botany/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/ Environmental Science/Microbiology/Plant Science) Desirable: Field work experience in Medicinal and Aromatic Plants
Maximum Age Limit : 50 Yrs.
Stipend per month : Rs. 20,000/ + HRA
Project Associate-I/II (Agricultural Sciences/ Biological Sciences: 03 Nos.)
Qualification: Project Associate-I
1. M.Sc. in any branch of agricultural sciences/ M.Sc. in biological science (Botany/Biochemistry//Biotechnology/ Environmental Science/ Microbiology/ Plant Science) with CSIR/UGC/ICAR/DBT- NET JRF/LS qualification or GATE
2. M.Sc. in any branch of agricultural sciences/ M.Sc. in biological science (Botany/Biochemistry//Biotechnology/ Environmental Science/ Microbiology/ Plant Science)
Project Associate-II
1. M.Sc. in any branch of agricultural sciences/ M.Sc. in biological science (Botany/Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Environmental Science/Microbiology/ Plant Science) with CSIR/UGC/ICAR/DBT- NET JRF/LS qualification or GATE and TWO years experience in research and development in research organization
2. M.Sc. in any branch of agricultural sciences/ M.Sc. in biological science (Botany/Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Environmental Science/Microbiology/ Plant Science) and TWO years experience in research and development in research organization
Desirable : Work experience in Medicinal and Aromatic Plants
Maximum Age Limit : 35 Yrs.
Stipend per month : Rs. 31,000/ + HRA
Rs. 25,000/ + HRA
Rs. 35,000/ + HRA
Rs. 28,000/ + HRA

Project Associate-I/II, (Chemical Science: 01 Nos.)
Qualification: Project Associate-I 1. M.Sc. in any branch of Chemistry/Chemical Sciences with CSIR/UGC/ICAR/DBT- NET JRF/LS qualification or GATE OR Bachelor’s Degree in Technology with GATE
2. M.Sc. in any branch of Chemistry/Chemical Sciences OR Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering Technology Project Associate-II
1. M.Sc. in any branch of Chemistry/Chemical Sciences with CSIR/UGC/ICAR/DBT- NET JRF/LS qualification or GATE and TWO years experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in Technology in Chemical Engineering with GATE and TWO years experience in Research and Development in research organisation
2. M.Sc. in any branch of Chemistry/Chemical Sciences and TWO years experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering Technology and TWO years experience in Research and Development in research organisation Desirable: Work experience in Medicinal and Aromatic Plants
Maximum Age Limit : 35 Yrs.
Stipend per month : Rs. 31,000/ + HRA
Rs. 25,000/ + HRA
Rs. 35,000/ + HRA
Rs. 28,000/ + HRA

Mode of Selection : Selection is to be done on the basis of performance in Interview. A written test may be conducted if the candidates appear in higher Nos.

General Terms & Conditions:
1. Engagement will be initially for a period of one year, and may be extended or curtailed depending upon the project requirement, and desired level performance or conduct of the incumbent, as the case may be.
2. The tenure of project staff shall be co-terminated with the project. However, under no circumstances the tenure would be allowed to exceed five year duration. The performance of the Project Staff would be reviewed periodically so that any one not found up to the mark, could be terminated.
3. The position is only temporary and, therefore, will not confer any right on the incumbent to any claim, implicit or explicit on any post in CSIR-CIMAP.
4. The upper age limit in as mentioned for the above positions will be as on date of Walk-in-Interview, which is relaxable upto 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes/Persons with disabilities/Women/OBC.
5. Special age relation in case of Widows, Divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands, who are not remarried as per rules
6. On completion of the tenure in one project, in case, one wants to apply for engagement in another project, he/she will have to go through the process of selection by submitting a fresh application under the new project. Engagement of the Project Staff under the new project would be made only after submission of resignation and “No Demand Certificate” in the previous project
7. Wherever possible accommodation will be provided to project staff, if accommodation is not possible, HRA will be paid as per rules. If accommodation is provided, the licence fee would be deducted as per CSIR rules.
8. The project staff shall be permitted to avail leave and dispensary facility, as per rules.
9. Experience, where required, will be counted from acquiring minimum educational qualification
10. Final semester and result awaited candidates will not be allowed to appear for interview.
