Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India launched CDSA on 28 September 2009 as an extramural unit of Translational Health Science & Technology Institute (THSTI). It was created to facilitate development of affordable healthcare products for public health diseases. Registered as a not-for profit research organization, it aims to develop an eco-system for training and learning and work with public sector institutions, and small and medium enterprises (SME) to translate innovative technologies into medical products for public good.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
*Bachelors in pharmacy / Lifesciences / equivalent OR Bachelors in basic science with post graduate degree/ diploma in pharmacy/ public health / management
*2-3 years’ experience in monitoring of clinical trials or public health
program research projects
*Candidates with experience in field monitoring or monitoring of public
health or community based studies will be preferred
Emoluments, Benefits and Other Allowances:
Up to Rs. 40,000/- per month consolidated As a field position the remuneration will be paid based on the performance. The incumbent has to complete minimum monitoring of specified number of primary sampling units (PSU) and/or Collection centers (CC) per month to be eligible for full remuneration. The compensation may be reduced on a pro rata basis for non-fulfillment of the target. The incumbent will be also paid a fixed travel allowance of Rs. 2000 per PSU/ CC to cover the food and stay costs. The travel cost will be paid on actuals. The eligible class of travel will be City and state public transport, Second/ Sleeper class of train and private mass transport bus /luxury services. In addition to the monthly remuneration, the employee will be provided with a group accident insurance cover of Rs.15 lakhs each. He will have to purchase term insurance of Rs.10 lakhs which will be reimbursed by CDSA. He should have a minimum individual health insurance cover of Rs. 2 lakhs ( Non-reimbursable)
Location
Home based positions with field work for Northern region. In addition will be required to report to CDSA connected offices as and when required in their respective zones.

Job profile
Regional Program Monitor (RPM) will serve as the primary clinical contact for central laboratory and survey agency to coordinate and oversee the quality of all concurrent monitoring activities for allocated region/zone:
- Coordinate and ensure the quality of all concurrent monitoring activities for allocated region/zone including monitoring schedule, timelines, day to day visit tracking and reporting and monitor consenting, sample collection, processing and shipment activity
- Visit PSUs and collection center in each region for concurrent monitoring and complete the standard approved checklist
- Confirm adherence to the study plan, manuals, and study specific- SOPs through monitoring reports review and on-site visits.
- Collate the weekly reports for submission to central laboratory and also assist Zonal lead and PM to track the activities of the field monitors (field movement, performances, compliance with monitoring plan and tools).
- Coordination with central laboratory and lead Survey Agency for planning monitoring plan as per field movement plan, escalation, crisis management or related aspects.
- Supervise Field Monitors for planning and conducting monitoring activities and reporting the visit observations
- Work closely with field monitor to review and update the field monitoring reports
- Monitor that central laboratory staff are performing duties as per the expertise and delegation of tasks
- Escalates quality issues to the Program or Zonal manager or senior management
- Work with Clinical Portfolio Management and other departments on their requirements as and when required
GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS:
1. All educational professional and technical qualification should be from a recognized Board/ University and full-time.
2. The experience requirement specified should be experience acquired after obtaining the minimum educational qualifications required for the post.
3. Persons working in Govt. or Public Sector undertaking should produce “No Objection Certificate” at the time of Interview.
4. The qualification, experience and other requirements for the posts are relaxable at the discretion of the competent authority, in case of candidates who are otherwise suitable.Candidates not found suitable for the posts notified, can be offered a lower post on the recommendation of the Selection Committee.
