Banaras Hindu University is an internationally reputed temple of learning, situated in the holy city of Varanasi. This creative and innovative university was founded by the great nationalist leader, Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, in 1916, through close cooperation with great personalities like Dr Annie Besant, who viewed it as the University of India. Banaras Hindu University was established by the Parliamentary legislation-B.H.U. Act 1915.
Advertisement for the Post of Junior Research Asstt. ship (JRF)
Applications are invited with a Fellowship of Fixed amount of Rs. 25,000/- pm for first 02 years & Rs. 28,000/- pm for 3rd year in a Council of Science & Technology, U.P. Sponsored Project entitled “Public awareness about prevention of metabolic syndrome and assessment of Prevailing, Cardiac problem of the society”, sanctioned up to 3 year. The post is temporary and co-terminus with the project.
Essential Qualification : 1. M.Sc. (Ag.) / M.Sc. / M. Pharm. / M.V.Sc. / M.Sc. (Bioinformatics) / M.Sc. (Statistics) / Bachelor of Engg. / Bachelor of Technology (B.E / B.Tech) or equivalent degree.
2. High academic attainment with 1st class in graduate and post graduate examination.
Age Limit : The upper age limit for a Junior Research Asstt. Shall be 28 years as on 1st April 2024.
Desirable qualifications :
1) Preference will be given to those candidates who are eligible to get Ph.D. registration in BHU, as per University rules.
2) Preference will be given who have temperament to do field work and have good knowledge of data analysis and computing.
Note : This is a temporary appointment for 3 months and it will be extended on further based on the performance of candidate.
