National Institute of Biomedical Genomics (NIBMG) Kalyani is an Institute of Government of India, Ministry of Science & Technology, Department of Biotechnology. The Institute has created necessary physical infrastructure and critical platform technologies to support research, translation, and training in biomedical genomics. Post : Research Officer, Senior Scientific Officer
The BRIC-National Institute of Biomedical Genomics (BRIC-NIBMG) is an Autonomous Institute of the Government of India, under the aegis of the Department of Biotechnology. This is the first Institution in India explicitly devoted to research, training, translation, service, and capacity building in Biomedical Genomics.
Research Officer
No. of Position – 01
Remuneration [INR] per month – Rs. 85000/- pm
Essential Qualifications – PhD in any branch of Life Science or allied discipline
Desirable Qualifications – 03 years of relevant experience in reputed Institute/University Industry/Research Organization
Nature of Duty : a) Identify funding opportunities for research activities from external sources.
b) Provide administrative support to researchers for grant submission, activation and execution.
c) Assistance with ensuring statutory compliances for research activities.
d) Develop and implement communication strategies to increase awareness of the institute’s research activities.
e) Promote the institute’s research activities to internal and external stakeholders through various channels such as social media, Newsletters, Brochures, Promo Videos.
f) Organizing Outreach activities at the Institute.
g) Prepare and review Institutional reports, agreements and other materials for various stakeholders.
h) Maintaining records and analyzing Institutional research output.
i) Setting-up policies and processes for management of research output.
Senior Scientific Officer
No. of Position – 01
Remuneration [INR] per month – Rs. 88000/- pm
Essential Qualifications – PhD in Biochemistry, / Molecular Biology, / Genetics, or allied disciplines
Desirable Qualifications – Three years' experience in conduct of genotyping and DNA sequencing of human samples in a molecular genetics laboratory. 5)Nature of Duty - (a) Standardizing genetic diagnostic tests,
(b) Carrying out genetic diagnostic tests to identify genetic, diseases;
(c) Supervising and training junior laboratory staff;
(d) Maintaining laboratory records, inventory etc.

1. These positions are contractual, and appointments will be initially for 11 months, which is extendable depending upon performance and requirements of the Institute.
