ICMR -Discovery Research Division intends to engage a Consultant (Scientific-Non Medical) with research experience in the cutting edge disciplines of Regenerative Medicine, Stem Cells and Gene Therapy. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the position mentioned above, purely on temporary and contract basis.

Essential Qualifications
Professionals having proven competency and success in their area of specialization, with at least 10 years of post qualification experience and should possess minimum M.Sc / MPH / B.Pharm / BMS or equivalent qualification in relevant subject.
Note :
1. Ph.D. will be considered as 4 years experience (irrespective of the duration taken to complete the degree)
2. MPH will not be considered as any experience
Or
Retired Government Employees with requisite qualifications and who were in the regular pay level 10 and above and having at least 10 years of experience in the required specialization.
Desirable Qualf./ Exp :
Applicants possessing a Ph. D or equivalent degree with an outstanding track record and with excellent publications reflected in high impact factor journals, citation, h-index and other recognitions with a research experience including a few years from the overseas laboratory. Candidates with international granted patents will be preferred.
Period of Engagement : One year
Age limit Min / Max : 40-70 years
Consolidated Fee/remun : 150000 For retired Government Servants the remuneration shall be fixed in accordance with the Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure O.M.No.3- 25/2020-E, IIIA dated 09/12/2020.
General Terms and conditions
1. Number of positions may vary.
2. The Consultant position is temporary and purely on contractual basis.
3. Cut-off date for age limit will be as on the date of last date for submission of applications.
4. Age relaxation will be as per the guidelines of ICMR.
5. Reserved category candidates must produce their latest Caste Validity Certificate. OBC candidates must possess a latest valid non-creamy layer certificate. PWD candidates shall produce latest disability certificate issued by a Medical board of Government hospital with not less than 40% disability.
6. Qualification & experience should be in relevant discipline/field and from an Institution of repute. Experience should have been gained after acquiring the minimum essential qualification.
7. Mere fulfilling the essential qualification does not guarantee the selection.
8. Persons already in regular time scale service under any Government Department / Organizations are not eligible to apply.
9. No TA/DA will be paid to attend interview / personal discussion and candidates have to arrange transport/accommodation themselves.
10. ICMR reserves rights to consider or reject any application/candidature.
11. Submission of wrong or false information during the process of selection shall disqualify the candidature at any stage.
12. The persons engaged on this contractual Position, in the interest of research work, are liable to serve in any part of the country.
13. The persons engaged on this contractual Position shall not have any claim on a regular post in ICMR or in any of its Institutes/Centers or in any Department of Government of India
14. Benefits of General Provident Fund, National Pension Scheme, Leave Travel Concession, Medical claim, Staff Quarters and other facilities applicable to the regular staff of ICMR etc. are not admissible in this contractual positions.
15. Successful candidates will normally be engaged on this contractual Position, initially for a period of one year or less, depending upon the functional requirements. Continuation / Extension to engagement of this contractual Position will be depending upon evaluation of performance, availability of funds, functional requirements and approval of Competent Authority.
16. ICMR reserves the right to terminate this contractual Position even during the agreed contract period or extended contract period without assigning any reason.
17. Leave shall be as per the ICMR’s policy for project human resource positions.
18. ICMR reserves the right to cancel/modify the process at any time, at its discretion.
19. The decision of the Competent Authority will be final and binding.
