Established on October 1, 1933 as University Department of Chemical Technology (popularly called UDCT) of the University of Bombay (now Mumbai), with the noble intention of advancing India’s knowledge reserves in chemical science and technology, the Institute has grown to become a premier (deemed) university devoted to education, training, research and industrial collaboration in chemical engineering, chemical technology, applied chemistry, pharmacy, biotechnology and bio-processing. The then UDCT grew in stature over the years and was granted partial autonomy by the University of Mumbai in 1985, which was taken to the next echelon under the concept of autonomy propagated by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

Project Title : “Ion transport through Bovine Serum Albumin based self- standingbio-membrane”

Qualifications : Master’s degree in chemistry with consistently good academic record. Preference will be given to candidates who have qualified GATE, CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship), or the ICT Ph.D.entrance exam in Chemistry.
Age : Should not exceed 35 years as on 20th December 2024 with usual relaxation for SC/ ST/ OBC and differently abled candidates.
Remuneration / Fellowship : INR 31000 (Rupees thirty-one thousand only) per month for 1st and INR 35000 (Rupees thirty-five thousand only) for and 2nd year(Consolidated with no other allowances).
Duration of Project : 2 years
Job description : Synthesis of bio-membrane, sample preparation, characterizations,and spectroscopy measurements.
The JRF will be appointed initially for 1 year and extendable another 1 year more depending on performance.
